  1. yes thats right. One cheque to the finance company and the other to the owner for the balance.
  2. Most times I have purchased a car its been on finance. You should be paying by bank cheque direct to the finance company to pay off the loan. Get copies of all the paperwork first too!
  3. Interested but can you explain the size please? What rims would they fit? I am sure most of us are used to the standard 245-40-17 sizings etc
  4. Everything including Hicas, Swaybars, Shocks, Springs, castor rods etc 90,000kms on the clock. Some shocks are leaking but everything else is fine. $200 for the lot or will split if there is interest. Pickup only Sydney (Kogarah). Selling due to upgrade. PM for specific pics.
  5. yeah that would be cool if it works!
  6. What a great idea! Cant wait to see all those R34s lined up for the shots!
  7. Want a few interior trim bits and the FMIC if it is a loop back design.
  8. Great weekend out had by all! No major dramas (just one blown engine and one minor off over both days). Its a brilliant track, very grippy but not to hard on tyres (I had about 3 mill left on my rears and at the end of the day had about 2 mill left). Most of the track can be seen from the pits and cafe too so its great for families and partners too. Top class job by the organisers (circitclub.com.au) and I will be writing up a full review on Carsguide.com.au soon! Vidospace.
  9. Just get a bar. They are only about $80!
  10. AAHRRRRR why are 17s always interstate! I need them in NSW!!!!
  11. Turbo Timers are a waste of money in my oppinion. They are also an extra easy way to get your car stolen!
  12. Check the battery voltage, but it really sounds like the alternator to me.
  13. Australia has the harshest penalties for firebugs anywhere in the world. Up to 25 years prison apparently.
  14. My advice - rip out the Nissan gauges and run some Autometer or other gauges in their place. I got some AutoGauge ones for about $35 each. Ripped off the faces on them and used the original perspex and cups from the factory gauges. Works a treat and much better than the stock nissan ones.
  15. OK just getting into doing some track days and I obviously need to get a helmet. Now I have seen everything from $40 second hand motorbike helmets to $650 + helmets. I am really looking for a open face type helmet but want something that I can use at any club level events without any dramas. My question is does the helmet just need to be ADR approved? What about CAMs approval? Its hard to know with second hand helmets. Note this helmet will only be used for track days, not for full on comps. I am interested in entering SuperLap next year though.
  16. It depends on the resistance on the original sensor vs the one that came with the gauge. I tired it out on a different gauge and ended up having to get a sandwich plate.
  17. Well guys, got the car back today. Its about 1cm lower than it was before (just purrrrfect), and low and behold, it doesnt scrape AT ALL! Guess the lower back end and harder suspension helped!
  18. Everyone has to be good at something, no one can be an expert at everything. Your right, leave it to the experts. Any good suspension place can take your ideas about how you want the car to handle, and make it happen. My advice is to do the lot in one go. Why stuff around adding bits and pieces and then paying over and over for allignments. Get it installed, get the right settings put in place and go racing!
  19. I paid 600 for a full fit and paint on my front bar. Well worth the extra. Came out a treat!
  20. thanks for the replys guys. I get the car back tomorrow so <crosses fingers> hope it gets in the garage!
  21. OK so I stupidly went out and got a hot looking front bar for my R34 before getting my suspension done. The bar scrapes just a touch on my drive way no matter how I seem to turn the wheel. Once I was able to get in without scraping but I cant figure out what I did right! Now my car is back from the shop getting the SK kit fitted and it will be lower again (not by much but maybe 1 inch). The drive way is a dip basically. Our road is curved in the centre and then the drive way banks up over the pavement before flattening out in our property. So you can see my issue. Over speed bumps I know to go at an angle and all is fine but I need to know how to go at an angle and then when to turn back straight or opposite to get over such dips without killing my kit? Suggestions? If worst comes to worst I might need to install a metal grill between the road and the drive way to even out the angle. But that might be overkill!
  22. LOL agreed on the bushes. I just got rear adjustable camber arms and front adjustable castor rods. The rest I got off the group by.
  23. Got one thanks all!
  24. What is the size of the thread on the Oil filter "screw"? I have got a sandwitch plate and its the wrong size (M20 is wrong) Its a RB25DET Neo btw but I assume they are all the same (since a VL oil filter fits all RB engines). HELP!!!!!
