  1. Cheers for the input. I know LHD won't be as desirable in Aus but I've always had my eye on 240/260z, my neighbour growing up used to own a green 240z & I've loved them ever since I was a little kid so the one I buy I'll pretty much keep for as long as possible. I've had plenty of time driving LHD but I've never driven LHD in an RHD country, that would take a bit of getting used to I think. The only 240z that seem to pop up are club or historic rego'd, very rare to see a clean road rego'd example & they are often snapped up straight away. All the 260z's on gumtree/ebay/carsales seem to be the 2+2 which I'm not a fan of.
  2. Hi guys I'm in the market for a 240/260z datto & none of the local options are grabbing me right now. I've been reading up a little bit on the pre-89 option for importing a vehicle http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/vehicles/imports/import_options/pre1989scheme.aspx but I still had a few questions if anyone can answer or at least point me in the right direction please . I assume there is no issue with importing a 30+ year old LHD car for regular NSW road use under the pre-89 option? What if the vehicle has a different engine not factory standard ie; RB26 conversion etc. Anything else I should keep my eye on in regards to modifications, suspension exhaust etc that would cause me issues at compliance? I have linked an example of an LHD 240z I've seen on japan auctions, me personally I don't mind LHD or RHD I've had plenty of experience driving both. Cheers http://page7.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/g136808473
  3. spotted my old v36 today on great western highway 2 days after I sold it. Sad to see it go but at least the new owner can give it the attention it deserves
  4. Hi mate, if you have factory 19" rims the main reason the factory tyre sizes are different is the sizes are staggered meaning the rear rims are slightly wider than the front rims (not by much) I personally have run 245/40/19 front & back for the last 4 years out of 6 years of owning my V36 & have seen neither a noticeable increase or decrease in handling from the stock tyre size. That tyre size fits perfectly on both front & rear stock 19's & are as close to factory rolling diameter as it comes. Hope that helps
  5. Seeing as how the thread was already de-railed earlier I'll just share some photos from a few of the many, many SAU:NSW events I have attended. Notice a theme here? Oh yeah... not just skylines attend the club events Sau:NSW is a fantastic club with a friendly membership base
  6. take off one of the wheels & check the back of the spokes if it's genuine nissan it should have Nissan stamping on the back of the spokes, or even Enkei. Enkei made the stock wheels for v36 so I'm assuming v35 should be same? The back wheels look tiny in those rear guards though
  7. all good my friend, was only kidding anyway We don't have a specific V series club as far as I'm aware, just local car clubs depending on where people live. There is a lot of info on these forums, just have to search for it
  8. Hi, great to see some fellow enthusiasts from other countries... but you do realise this is an AustraLian forum right? Enjoy the forum
  9. looks good guys!
  10. Sau NSW is a great club to get involved in, friendly bunch, no sense of elitism like I've seen with some other clubs which I won't mention. As far as cruises go there were a few organised for v series/350z before but thats a long time ago. You can always try & organise your own. OP best to check out the sub-forum for the state/territory you live in to see what cruises & events are planned in your area Texi days are lots of fun too, check out the NSW section if you live there
  11. good stuff, I'd be interested in organising some co-op with fellow sau players once it's all up & running
  12. Hey, anybody else pre-order Destiny yet for the Beta access? I'll be getting this for xbox one, don't have the console yet, I'll just buy one just before beta release Not sure how much time I'll actually get to play this with full time work & Studying at Uni + life in general but this game looks too good to pass up on.

new PB for me today got to 100kg set managed 6 reps before it felt like I wouldn't be able to push up anymore, I couldn't get quite down to parallel at 100kg so just gotta keep working at away at it. entire session went; 1X 40kg 10 rep 1X 60kg 10 rep 2X 80kg 8 rep 1X 100kg 6 rep Ultimately I'd like to start off at 80kg then 100kg max, probably scale back on the reps too at the higher weights. I'm thinking 5 sets 6 reps each: X2 @ 80kg X3@100kg 100kg squats are my goal, don't want to push further than that. Anything else I should consider set wise? I'm always open to suggestion
  19. welcome! go & visit the state & territory sub-forums relative to where you live to check out events & club meetings in your area if you want to get to know some local owners

I'd say to scale back on the weight a bit too to begin with if you go from using smith machine to barbell Tried smith machine once & it felt really awkward. This is the vid that inspired me to start using squats, not sure if it's been posted before I'm not going to go back through this whole damn thread
  21. Post up a sound clip or vid, I wanna hear those ITBs
  22. This, Cheers Alex. Was bored so decided to upload the dyno run to youtube. First attempt at vid editing too

^ I think I've gotten the handle on squats now I'll try the plates under the heels thanks for the tip new PB: 1 X 40 10 reps 1 X 60 10 reps 2 X 80 8 reps I'm happy with my progress considering its only 3 weeks in. My goal will be to get up to 100 kg set & maintain from there, I'm happy with the size of my legs as they are & it's in proportion with my frame

just started implementing rear loaded squats into my routine, main reason I haven't been bothered thus far is my gym only has 2 barbell stations & they're almost always occupied (plenty of smith machines but I don't want to use those, always feel awkward) My thighs are kinda naturally large anyway so this is mainly for the benefits of compound exercise rather than aesthetics concentrating on getting my technique down pat atm so currently only on 40kg + bar 5 sets/10 reps (can definitely handle more but don't want to over-do it yet) Once I feel more confident I'll slowly add weight per set hardest thing I find is ensuring I push up from my heel but getting used to it now Other than that tiger balm on my thighs is heaven
