  1. better The caltex next to the maccas is easier to get in & out of. Just depends where Raj is coming from
  2. all good mate, glad it's sorted out. Just don't lose the key . Some keys have a number code stamped on the top or on the pack so if you lose it you know which replacement to buy
  3. When I was buying my Xtrail 2 years ago I enquired about lock nuts & from memory I think they wanted $60ish? I can't remember exactly but I remember them being grossly overpriced. However if OP wishes to enquire at a dealership then go for it. I used a set of $20 lock nuts on my V36 that I got at my local tyre shop & they worked fine, I owned that car for 5 years with no hassles on the lock nuts.
  4. I'd tell them where to shove their lock nuts, they shouldn't have taken them off without the key, probably the wet behind the ears apprentice doing all the grunt jobs. If they're a major chain you can complain to the franchisor, that is poor form on the tyre shop's part. You didn't have the lock nut key with you in the car? Don't bother with the nissan dealer, they'll just overcharge you. Get a new set of lock nuts & keep the key in the boot or the console. Like I said you can try supercheap/autobarn as at least they're open on sundays. Loosen up one of the factory nuts when you go to a shop & they can find a suitable type
  5. as long as the 4 nuts are tightened correctly driving around normally will be fine until you find a replacement But, I don't understand how the tyre shop could take them all off but then only put 4 back on? doesn't make sense. Did they f**k up one of the nuts? Are they lock nuts? It's been awhile since I've sold my V36 but from memory the factory nuts have a taper, most tyre shops should stock them. Try autobarn/supercheap auto too
  6. let's coordinate with Raj on that I don't mind doing an M4>bankstown run myself, we could rendezvous along the way as I'm basically in the middle between Penrith & B-town (st clair)
  7. Passed my MOST test with no errors. Sweet as! Some pretty cool women ride the scooter & suzuki intruder next to my bike My project will amost be done, maybe in the next 2-3 months. Then I can focus my attention back on the old fairlady Z, poor girl has been neglected
  8. sweet as, I'd be up for a meetup on the way, I'll help you dodge the bullets, safety in numbers lol
  9. just depends on everyones plan I guess. I don't have any etag so next best thing from my place is getting onto Elizabeth drive & connect to heathcote road from there
  10. anybody from penrith/blacktown area wanna meet up on the way to the meeting point? I'm gonna have to wake up around 4am just to make the meeting point haha
  11. If it's just maintenance stuff really any reputable mechanic should suffice, it's like servicing a maxima/pulsar etc. Personally I'd get an engine/gearbox oil change & new air filters as you don't know the full history of the car before it was in your hands & I wouldn't trust the dealer's word anyhow. You can check the dipstick to see engine fluid level & open the airboxes to see the condition of the filters If it's more technical like fault codes & engine lights Nissan dealers have OBDii scanner or buy one yourself off ebay. You can use the same oil filter that fits a 350z, which also fits the older model micra funnily enough (no idea about the newest micras though)
  12. I get a knock to the ribs by an elbow if I snore too loudly so that's my indication of sleep quality

  16. It would appear another benefit of my windscreen is that my fuel economy has improved Fuel light used to come on around 220km mark, now it comes on around 250k's not bad for a bit of plastic
  17. Shhhhh slides were off camera ;p Majority of people did have protective gear, just took it off while we were on the course. I wasn't complaining when the blondie took her jacket off
  18. Spending all the money on car mods. Is there no greater feeling? Good luck with your project
  19. I can tell the difference definitely. I can keep my visor open & it feels like a gentle waft of air. Should work well when winter rolls around, I can duck behind the screen
  20. Quick update. Now with added windkeeperoffythingamajig doovelacky. It's a genuine Yamaha accessory, was a super p.i.t.a getting to the bolts that hold it in place. Me Rikey
  21. Me Rikey, but let's see how pedestrian the production model becomes Knowing the current lot in Aus, I don't have high hopes for a manual model
  22. cheers Dale Yeah I think a lot of it has to do with the bike, I basically sit upright like a pushy so I find slow speed manoeuvres to be a bit easier. There were a few others on the day who were struggling & they were on sports bikes ie ninjas & cb's etc. It's a fantastic thing to have something like this for learners for free & in Sydney. Once I get more experience I wouldn't mind helping them out to keep these sessions running
  23. Ah I see, That bike wasn't meant to be ridden slow anyway
  24. what kind of bike you got Mick? There was a guy with a cruiser there and he seemed to manage ok
