  1. Not a skyline, but on my way to work I always encounter a white my99 wrx with number plates "MRS-REX" First time i saw her car I thought the plates read "MR SEX" lol
  2. My Missus' driveway is ridiculously steep & my car starts normally as if it were on a flat surface Mine's a series 1 aswell. Your car just might be a sped afterall :sorcerer:
  3. much nicer sitting position in an r34, It felt like I sat much higher in my old r33. Interiors aren't that great in most early to late 90's cars to begin with... (Supras especially, yuck) but nissan did the right thing with the triple guage clusters in the GT-t. The r34 has a much nicer overall appearance IMO, though I have to say the rear end styling of the r33 is still my fave. But yeah, stay with the 33's... the less r34's going around the more special I feel
  4. I ended up going the GTT, purely due to my limited & expensive insurance options. But you know what, I'd do it again
  5. East bear make replica GTR frontbars to fit the GTT, excellent quality but expensive. You will need to change the bonnet too I'd imagine as the stock bonnet hangs over the grill, where the gtr has the grill & bar integrated
  6. You're mate is deluded If you want I'll post up pics of my factory sunroof so you can show him. It slides into the body & tilts upwards aswell.
  7. Hehe I know whatcha mean, I live in ersko but yeah st. clair is right next door, But I'll be sure to give you a wave next time I see ya . What sort of muffler you have? I'm ordering a HKS silent Hi-power for mine, I prefer a quieter exhaust note that opens up at higher revs... good for getting a 'where the f*ck did that come from?' look on people's faces
  8. Very nice pods, N1 style. I actually bought a set when I had my R33, but they didn't suit the height of my 400r sideskirts & looked uneven, so I ended up getting a rear lip which just sat right on top of the stock rear bar, exactly like this one... Rear lip But yeah, the ones you're looking at will suit the stock sideskirts very nicely & be something different I still have the N1 style pods if you're interested, bought them from gtautostlye.com P.S Al, the rear end is fat enough as it is :)
  9. Were you the White r34 parked behind the truck, your car sounded awesome taking off
  10. If you talking about Penrith, I'm the R34 . That silver v35 is awesome my dad almost bought one but got a 350z instead. Which one are you? I often see a white & maroon R33's in addition to the V35
  11. My car has them, GTT coupe. The rear speaker covers have a badge saying "nissan holographic sound" if that helps... not sure if all r34's have that either
  12. I saw a purple magna with an R34 GTR style frontbar.
  13. lol I've got an '89 corolla seca hatch sitting out the front of my house, still runs! Starts perfectly every time. Someone tried stealing it but ended up ditching it half way down the street lmao
  14. ..... Nice wheels
  15. To the best of my knowledge it was part of the R33 type M package. My r33 also had a silver "S" on the grill, 4 door r33's have colour coded fins on the grill, not the black plastic ones like on the coupes aswell. NTH: might help to post a pic, could even be an obscure aftermarket badge that the owner in japan fitted for all we know .
  16. Cheers Everyone, Very much appreciated! lol @ Nisskid, Nothing wrong with being a softie I had a custom exhaust made up for my R33 when I had it, awesome sound but so F'ckin' droney & annoying on the Freeway at around 100-110+kms. Looks like I'm steering towards the HKS for the cat-back. Want to keep things low-key
  17. Whoops, stuffed the poll lol. Just treat the "other" option as the HKS exhaust
  18. Hi guys, another comm cheque, another mod Did a search but not having much luck. I'm going to buy a cat back system in the next few days & I can't decide which to buy ! I've been trawling through the Nengun site & have rounded it down to the HKS Silent Hi-power & the Blitz Nur Spec R. They are both in the price range I am happy to spend on a cat-back ($800-$850 delivered nengun prices) I'm looking for people's opinions & personal experiences with either of these systems as far as Exhaust noise (nothing too droney) & overall quality of the system. I'm after real opinions, not just what the manufacturers say on the website Cheers in advance everyone,
  19. No worries mate * If your foggies turn on from a factory location ie; the lights & indicator stalk than it's safe to say they're a factory item, nissan logo can usually be found somewhere on the lense like on the side indicators. The r34 I saw with large oval ones had the nissan logo aswell. Not unusual for a company to offer more than one type of fog light. * My shocks are yellow in colour & have the bilstein logo stamped on the bottom part of the shock Can't see the logo unless you take the wheel off. When you look at the engine bay it looks like you can adjust from the top of the struts too, although I haven't tried this yet. * stock item does, however I have since changed my guages... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...c=156040 * hmmm, pretty sure they were 19's. Driving was fine, just when parking or slow manouvreing at full lock you could notice the guard rub. Hope that helps
  20. I was gonna buy an R32 GTR, but Just cars quoted me just over 6K for a 12 month policy Settled on the R34. I'm 19 & it cost me just over 2K, that's on a policy I've had since I was 17. To start a new one & I'd be paying the better part of $3500 I was quoted. Luckily I'm now in a job where I can afford it but 2K is still a bloody rip no matter which way you look at it .
  21. Wouldn't recommend it on restricted license. People seem to have mixed attitudes & experiences with the po-po ( not forgetting all the stories here are mostly one sided ) I'm on my green's with a big magnetic p-plate on the back. I haven't been pulled over so far (touch wood, I'm no granny driver either) & the coppers mostly just leave me alone. Although I've been death stared at once by a copper when driving past an RBT, but just let me through. Back when I had my R33 the only time I was pulled over was my own fault (doing 140+ on the m4) I learned from my mistake & copped the fine & suspension, I'm just lucky I didn't lose my license before the restrictions came in .
  22. 1. Yes I have this system aswell, sometimes the motor for the silencer is known to get stuck. Leave it on idle & if you switch you should hear the motor for the silencer open & close. As for the heat wrap I haven't checked mine out yet. Very good quiet sound that sounds agressive when you boot it, although still pretty restrictive system. I'm buying a HKS silent Hi- power & seeing if I can still use the silencer (it should be attached to a bit of pipe before the muffler.) 2. When I was shopping for my car I came very close to buying one that also had factory fog lights fitted. Are they large round ones with a sort of amber/yellow tint? 3. Check what brand they are. My car came with Factory option bilsteins so I don't know what the stockies are (unless bilsteins are stockies lol?). 4. No idea sorry 5. Mine usually sits around the 50-70 degrees depending on the type of day & how long I've been driving for. 6. When I was shopping I test drove an R34 with 19's & was lowered as legally possible & there was slight guard rub when full lock. P.S welcome to the forums
  23. That's the stock centre console guage cluster for the r34. You could probably buy a triple guage cluster & mount it in a similar position, but it won't look as good. A defect in NSW too if the guages go above the steering wheel I think (Edit, Just read you're from the UK lol)
