  1. Thanks for all the replies Guys. Keep 'em coming. Andru, they are all the same colour, I'm guessing the a/f guage turns red when the warning light goes off a certain number of times. Maybe it's to distinguish that guage to let you know something funny is going on. Don't know why it turned on, The engine was off & had the car on ACC only happened once so far. Cost of install all up was $450. Worth it when you consider the final finish of the install & the fact that there was a bit more customisation compared to a regular guage install. Cheers everyone!
  2. The original pics are about 2-3 megs lol Some people still use dial up you know
  3. Cheers! As I said before, Full credit to the team at Race Solutions (next to HITMAN) in Penrith. It was a bit complicated to get them fitted, the stock guages are a single piece with a flat window that sits behind the pod holes. They had to make a custom mounting bracket to fit them properly. I'm very pleased with the result .
  4. Hi guys, I finally got around to getting my guages installed. Full credit goes to Maroun(spelling) & the boys down at Race Solutions in Penrith. Has anybody installed an autoguage A/F ratio guage that has the warning light? I need to know how to turn off the warning buzzer as it's really starting to tick me off. The instructions say to refer to back page but there was never a back page when I bought lol.
  5. Yep Thailand hehe. Time will tell whether the quality control will be up to par.
  6. Not a bad, deal. Did you get the '06 runout? Or is it a series 2 that have cruise control & are assembled in thailand? Tiida is a very nice car for what it is
  7. If only this fit an R34 You'd have it sold. Oh well, free bump. Goodluck with the sale
  8. I used brake caliper paint on my previous R33 to paint the "skyline" letters on the rear garnish the same colour red as my brakes. Turned out schmick & didn't crack or fade one bit. I'm gonna try painting the "skyline" on the front bar on my day off next week. I'll either use the silver I've got lying around already, or white. If it turns out shite I can always paint it black again
  9. I did mine in that stuff, Looks bloody awesome. I would've gone with the gold but they were sold out. Did them in the same colour on my previous R33 & no peeling at all. I used 3 coats of the septone aluminium brake caliper paint as a primer. 2-3 coats of the duplicolor stuff depending how dark you want the red to be.
  10. Such a subtle change, but a noticable one! I've got the nissan sports aero frontbar, I'm thinking of painting the "skyline" in silver. Anybody tried this?
  11. Might need to be more specific, What kind of noise? like the engine is still running? Was the problem there when you bought the car of did it appear recently?
  12. My car came with Bilstein shock absorbers when I bought it, were these standard on R34's or a factory option? (like the bilstein suspension kits you can buy from nissan for the 350z)
  13. I saw a silver 300zx with ferrari style tail lights, didn't look half bad. Whoever says the 300zx is ugly has no sense of style . Lamborghini used the exact same headlights in the diablo! Although the interior does look shocking, but isn't that a pre-requisite of 80's/early 90's cars? Hell, after driving my dad's 350z I can barely stand my r34's interior. The only bad thing I can say about the r32 is I'm not a fan of the amber corners on the headlights, saw an r32 with full clear headlights & made a MASSIVE improvement, in my opinion.
  14. Wow... I'm gonna bolt that into the skyline, So when I fly past a v8 bogan cruising in a 60 zone I can tell THEM that they're missing a cylinder
  15. That nismo rear bar is... interesting. No doubt serves it's purpose though
  16. Guess I'm lucky coz I haven't had any real incidents since owning both my skylines. Just some close calls due to idiot drivers. Once a truck started to veer in my lane during peak hour traffic which scared the absolute sh*t out of me & the cars behind.
  17. LoL, if the wheels were bronze it's probably the exact same car that I saw. it also still had the blue GT badges if I'm not mistaken
  18. Did the 7 gaping screwholes left in the rear quarter panels have anything to do with it ? I'm going to take off the corner parts of my wing & just leave the middle peice, just have to organise the time & money to get it done.
  19. You bought your car from Japlink like me ? Looks like the Japlink yard in your photos. My car has the exact same kit, but a different rear bar. Front bar is the same, from the replies in this post it looks like it will take a little bit more than trimming the reo to fit a FMIC to the nissan sports frontbar? I'm planning on buying the just jap intercooler kit.
  20. Hmmm, same colour. Although the one I saw had a nissan sports kit & 18" or 19" bronze wheels. This would be going back a few months too. The dealership shall remain nameless, although they may be found opposite from a restaurant that makes very tasty kebabs & right next to a hi-fi entertainment shop that has it's origins in Strathfield.
  21. Are you sure the n/a's came with gt-t brakes? When I was shopping for my car I was at a dodgy dealership on parramatta road that was trying to pass off a n/a that had a turbo conversion as a GT-T (selling at a gt-t price etc.) It had the crappy non turbo brakes i:e no cover over the tops with the nissan writing, smaller than the gt-t brakes etc. It looked the goods as a Gt-t, nice rims/kit other than the fact I spotted the difference between the brakes. The look on the salesman's face was priceless when I caught him out trying to sell it to me as a factory GT-t. Moron Safe to say I didn't buy from there
  22. Sure probably, It's whether they are as good as "these few garages" is what I personally would be asking
  23. Getting mine done at Hitman in Penrith when the PFC decides to turn up in the mail. I've only heard good things about him & speaking with him in person he seems like he knows what he's doing. Helpful with all of my questions & very friendly. The fact that he's down the road from my work doesn't hurt either.
  24. Does it count if you have a couple of sandbags in the boot?
