  1. Yup so a car being too low should not be classed as a 'hoon' offence?? DAS KAMU please explain? Hahaha disobeying railway level crossing signals is a hoon offence... what the
  2. Yeah its fine to mix 95 and 98. Just fill up with 98 from now on and you will gradually get rid of any 95 thats left.
  3. WTF so you got done for the first strike of the hoon laws because your car was too low?? I thought it was only things like speeding, racing and loss of traction etc.
  4. Why not buy a piece of crap car after your 2nd strike, get caught intentionally with the hoon laws, give them piece of crap car and then does it reset back or are you still on your 2nd strike?? Hahaha i posted this at the same time as the above post.
  5. Ah ok, wow so does it ever reset or you remain with it for the rest of your life?
  6. I remember the first guy ever to be caught with the 3rd strike of a hoon law in queensland ran from the cops and stripped his car before they came around. Surely the number of people that will run from the cops will increase which will introduce a great risk to the driving public.
  7. I also am against silly modifications on the street that are easily defectable. Although, I do not agree that you support these hoon laws. I hope you never apply full throttle or chirp a gear change as these things can be classed as 'hoon' activities. Whatever 'hoon' actually means??
  8. No I think 98 octane is at minimum the right fuel for you. I would never use any less. Japan has 100 octane fuel.
  9. Hmm I thought all those myths had been put to rest. How many people are running E85 (85% ethanol) on this and other forums without issues with factory fuel lines etc??
  10. You bought a V35 and dont want to spend the extra $3 a tank to safeguard your engine and make power safely??
  11. What are the advantages of a twin scroll single turbo to a set of twins? I find it hard to believe that a single scroll single turbo has more smooth power delivery than twin turbos! As R31Nismoid mentioned those -5s are simply not in their efficiency range at 330rwkw. Make sure you get a fair representation of each before you make the decision.
  12. No I would certainly not use it. I would only use 98 octane fuels. On the shell website it also says: If your vehicle manufacturer recommends a minimum 95 octane then Shell V-Power may be a more suitable fuel. If they dont recommend it for cars that recommend 95 octane, I certainly wouldnt use it on cars that recommend 98 octane fuel. Also, my experience using the old 100 octane shell fuel which also contained 10% ethanol was it got considerably worse fuel economy until you had it tuned for it.
  13. Really? 1.5 psi sounds like a fair difference to me. One idea is to switch where each gets its boost signal from and see what happens. If they swap around then its the place your getting the signal from, if they stay the same one of them is dodgy etc.
  14. If you have no idea about cars, stop driving it and take it back to your mechanic asap! If your smelling lots of fuel something is definitely wrong. And yes fuel is flammable so it could be dangerous.
  15. That is a great addition, the previous system of complete power being with the police officer was ridiculous. At least now you have some path to object and fight. and maybe sell your car if you are guilty haha
  16. What do defects have to do with this thread?
  17. Ah nice one! That was where i thought nah too hard basket. Pics or ban
  18. Hahaha yup cool. thanks for clearing that up.
  19. Are you using the factory bov return and breather hard piping though?
  20. Were you having a problem with the stock intake?
  21. Yup but my point is the physical size of it is no bigger than the factory intake and the metal pipe sleeve will stop it from sucking shut in the same place the rings are.
  22. Ok I suppose its less prone to sucking shut near the turbo, would be smoother and seems to have more space around the fittings so that they dont disrupt flow.
  23. Agree 100%, how can you get a 30kw gain from using a different intake pipe that is exactly the same size? The only difference is the material. The standard one must have been sucking shut. Interesting you are running the stock airbox, I was doing some research on this forum and I found a post by you: "Standard airbox is shit and restrictive. Car makes 280rwkw with the custom air intake I got, but with the standard airbox in it's own only made 270rwkw. I'll have my extra 10kw thanks. I got an intake setup that would pass you an EPA or a defect just because it looks like I have an airbox . If you wanna know it pm me btw only talking about the standard r33 gtst airbox. Gtr ones are probably better hence you can make decent power with them withou being too restrictive." What changed?
  24. Do you have a link to this Just Jap product? Do you mean the silicone intake pipe: http://www.justjap.com/store/product.php?p...=272&page=2 What do you mean the 3 inch pipe inside the stock intake did jack shit? Did it still suck closed? Or did it suck closed at the 2.5" section? Or did it just not make any more power?
  25. That will be very interesting, if you could update this thread with the results that would be great! Yeah if those bellmouth things make more hp I can see the benefit of having a larger intake pipe immediately from the turbo.
