+1 a T67 on a 2.8 would be sweet! I would copy SimonR32's setup as much as possible with the 6boost manifold and the Tial MVR 44mm wastegate. Same power with more response would be spaz!

http://justjap.com/store/product.php?productid=16424&cat=&page=1 End thread. Makes induction noise a lot louder and sounds good on my R34 GTT. I had it on the standard turbo and it sounded good, now I have it on a 280rwkw setup and it still sounds good and flows well. My tuner Trent said he has seen 400rwkw setups using this intake so it definitely flows well. Bolts straight up too.

24V looks interesting both with T67 and TD06SL2.
-
Bit tough fellers, Roy said above that they are two different turbos.
-
Great result so far, looking very interesting. My SS1 made 244rwkw on 98 fuel and 279rwkw on Caltex Eflex so everyone can get a rough idea that it would be around 250rwkw on 98 fuel in its current setup. Keen to see what it does with everything sorted!

Ah ok so your design is an piece that sits in between the manifold and turbo housing? So would raise the turbo up by the amount of your part. GTX4508 turbo lol ur a nutter
-
The exhaust gases from 3 of the cylinders on one side of the manifold travels straight through to one scroll of the turbo housing and the exhaust gases from the other 3 cylinders enter their own scroll of the turbo housing but are redirected to join the same scroll of the turbo housing. This redirecting occurs within the turbo housing itself. This way the exhaust flow from all 6 cylinders are using only one scroll of the twin scroll turbo until the point that the valve is opened. I am guessing when the valve does open you might get a small dip in boost pressure as the exhaust flow has to start from scratch on the second scroll?

I have the destchwerks 740cc injectors and they have done the job well. Although lots of people talk about the ID1000 injectors as being a lot better. Just depends on how much extra they are and if they drop straight in.

Fs: Rb25 Tomei Poncams - 256 Duration
Harey replied to PM-R33's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Are they type b? Would they fit a neo rb25? -
GTX3076R with 0.82 divided rear sounds too small for a 3.4L. That would be closer to the equivalent of a 0.63 single rear on a GTX3076R which would be too small for a 3L let alone a 3.4L. The 1.06 divided rear on the GTX3076R would sure be interesting, would still be ridiculously responsive. Although I would think the GTX35R with 1.06 divided rear would still be very responsive and make lots of top end on a 3.4L. Either way super jealous

What numbers does yours show with a compression test?

My R34 Gtr Engine Noise At High Rev
Harey replied to NISSAN GTR's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
yup I agree siphon it out and put it in another car. -
Hahaha its a funny site an R34 2 door with tow bar and bicycle rack (sideways as it overtakes you hehe)

I had the G3 and I also thought it was too laggy on a RB25 for the street. Mine made full boost in 4th gear around 4500rpm. So that means full boost is even later in earlier gears. I think my setup was about 200rpm less responsive than Tao's car with the same turbo. I am confused by your lack of enthusiasm in the SS2 Tao, one of them made over 300rwkw on 98 fuel with full boost by 3800rpm!!! That is a fantastic result!! Then the SS3 made 326rwkw with full boost at 4000pm. To me I dont know why people still choose the G series of turbos, especially not for a street car.

Thanks heaps Trev! I have a lot better understanding now with those pics. Is the material around the white hose soft sponge? Would it stop water?
-
Sounds like maybe just pull em out and check out the condition of the plugs.
-
I found when I angled the bov return and pcv valve return towards the turbo inlet and away from the afm it solved my off boost stalling issue.
-
That would be awesome if you can take some photos so we can all have a good look!! Hard to see with everything in the way.
-
So what would the compression have been on the previous engine setup?
-
Mine is just flexi rubber hose, I can bend it and because the whole front is melted I can see inside and theres nothing white inside. I cant workout where it joins inside the cabin. Yes its a JJR dump pipe.
-
Just had a look then and my a/c rubber pipe doesnt have any white plastic hose underneath? The whole top half of the black rubber a/c hose is burnt on mine. Couldnt work out where it comes into the cabin or how to put a rubber plug anywhere??

Rb25 Turbo Kit Help Making A Decsision.
Harey replied to Irwin123's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Im not saying bullsh!t, I think they are fantastic turbo. I am just showing the other side and I dont think the difference is quite what a few of you make it out to be. Fact 4 you will have to work for another month to pay off the additional hks pricetag -

Which we dont have any measurements on so basically you are just guessing. -

Well clearly the 3 Hypergear turbos have other issues that are holding the turbo back. Dave's setup is pretty damn awesome, lots of additional parts and effort have gone into that car. Engine bay looks unreal. Dont think its comparing apples with apples. You have tuned 3 Hypergear turbos and Trent would have tuned 50+.
