  1. The T04Z will be more responsive plus the extra traction of the GTR, so I think the GTR will win. The sudden hit of the GT42R on two wheels is going to make it hard to get traction.
  2. Picture from above link:
  3. But the pineapples can be inserted underneath the subframe. Yes it wont push the subframe up much but it definitely wont lower it (when the pineapples are installed in the all round position ie underneath subframe).
  4. Does this mean that setting the pineapples to all round position is the best for NOT lowering the subframe? http://www.whiteline.com.au/instruction/203a_KCA349.pdf What other ideas are there for a daily driver type of car?
  5. I have my pineapples set to all round performance (both on the bottom): http://www.whiteline.com.au/instruction/203a_KCA349.pdf This would not lower the subframe, if anything it would raise it slightly. Also my car is not that low, ie 350mm centre of wheel to guard. Found this but looks very major work and more for a track car: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Su....html&st=20
  6. Lots of info in this post! Just trying to decipher it all. First question about alignment, the car was aligned after every stage of work. Chris at Centreline made a point of mentioning it and I also paid for it. I dont believe the bushes are adjustable but could be wrong. Not sure about this question. Are you saying that diff bushes are easier to change than the subframe bushes? That would be good because I think the pineapples are doing enough to tick off the subframe bushes. Do you mean changing the diff fluid while they change the diff bushes? It has brand new redline diff oil in there.
  7. Interesting idea, so is that similar to setting the pineapples up in a squat position? My only counter question to this is why would solid mounting the subframe be the ultimate to stop axle tramp if the issue was squat?
  8. Yup for sure. I find it hard to describe, summary it is VERY VERY GOOD! It also allows the car to take mid corner bumps while still keeping the car flat.
  9. Unfortunately, I have to reopen this thread as it seems the axle tramp has not gone, it has only reduced the scenarios that it happens!! GRRR!!! Only things I have left is: - diff bushes - traction arms I understand diff bushes are quite expensive to replace so have put them down the queue.
  10. yup good ol axle tramp. I have spent lots of money trying to fix mine. I thought I had fixed it but I have only reduced the times that it happens.
  11. +3 I installed a whiteline adjustable rear swaybar on my R34 GTT yesterday and OMG what a difference. Car feels so stable and can go around corners much faster without realising it. Absolutely fantastic! Cant wait till I get the front sway bar on as well! Havent been able to fully test it out as the roads were wet all day yesterday. Even in the wet its soo much better.
  12. Yes I am envious of your recent increase in power!!!
  13. after all the dollars you spent on a custom tune I would just run 98. I would only run the E10/100 ron fuel if you took it back for a quick retune. I tried the E10/100 ron fuel a while ago and I got 5L/100km worse fuel economy for no gain in power (because I didnt get a tune). So I quickly changed back to 98. Just wait for E85 and get a custom tune done then.
  14. All the internally gated turbos I have seen/used have some adjustment in the length of the actuator rod.
  15. Its not $1500 for a Jim Berry one, more like $1350 - $250 for trade in of your old clutch so $1100. I got one to handle 280rwkw (one spec down) and paid $920 after trade in. I thought the mechanic had fitted the wrong clutch cause I swear it was just as light as stock. The only difference is the clutch point is a bit narrower so have to take a bit more care for a smooth takeoff. Have done repeated hard launches + clutch drops no issues. Although I am not running 400rwhp so its not a direct comparison.
  16. Woops forgot that, I am located in Melbourne (specifically Richmond).
  17. Hi, I purchased this dump pipe a few weeks ago: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/SKYLINE-R32-R33-R34...=item563caf780e I have since decided to not do any more mods on the car, therefore it is up for sale. This will fit any R32, R33 or R34 GT Turbo car. It bolts up to the factory or aftermarket front pipe. Comes with new studs and nuts (as pictured below). I paid $120 + postage Sell $60ono Happy to post at buyers expense. Jeff 0400648813
  18. On my previous car I pulled off the fuel return line and pointed it into a bucket and started the car. It then pumps all the fuel into the bucket.
  19. Nope nowhere near it. Its about par with launching a manual car with 3,000rpm, hardly what I would call abuse. Certainly nothing like revving an auto in neutral and slamming it into drive. The car is designed to launch you are just increasing the revs.
  20. Thats some nice work there
