  1. WAY too big, haha its not quite a 1000hp turbo paul. its a fairly old-style turbo with a non-BB core which makes even more of a street-pig. dont bother
  2. something to do with the cam timing? doesnt it change around there??
  3. yeh if they simply subtract the 1.6m at the end it would be the same difference the only way times would change is if the launch-area surface was different but on a non-prepped track i would think that would also be insignificant
  4. water pump is the RB30 one, you can order it through coventrys, around $80-90 from memory i called a nissan dealer and asked for an RB20DET timing belt... never got the part number be warned youll need a rattlegun for the crank pulley bolt. its actually a job better tackled by a workshop. (i try and do everything myself as well, but sometimes it just aint worth it)

  7. why warm your engine for 5-10mins?!?! i never have that sort of time in the mornings! i usually back out the driveway, close the garage door (1min max) then just drive off and keep it under 2-2.5K takes about 10k's for it to get to operating temp. oh yeh and try n stay off-boost on a cold engine
  8. ive got a 910 and fuel economy has gone down as a result of this. i know technically the fuel reg should keep rail pressure constant but it doesnt work. when i first installed the pump it ran mega-rich. have sinced installed an AFC but even on 1 bar it still aint too efficient
  9. my guage is always around 1-4. it should read 1kg at idle 3kg at 2000rpm 4 kg at 6000rpm
  10. another thing i know they try in the states is 2nd gear launches. this keeps wheelspin down and if you can get it off the line on boost itll mean a higher mph and hopefully lower ET never tried it, it may not work. just an idea
  11. from my personal experience there isnt much to be gained as far as machining of the head goes (according to a headshop here in perth) so as sydneykid says invest the $$ in a better cause

  15. exactly, and that is why i dont think you should rely on 1 person's opinion. when something goes wrong, i prefer to get everyones opinion, look at the facts and then make a decision for myself. if i take 1 person's word as the gospel and they are wrong, then im screwed.

  23. nothing wrong with ya dad, im just after someone who only does engines... as its more of a specialist thing. ive had various opinions from mechanics but no-one knows whats goin on
