hey guys i got two days till my car goes in for a turbo rebuild cuz the ceramic wheel has shit itsself they tell me there going to put a steel one in there and it will cost around $700 - $800. would i be better off just buying a new turbo for that price. oh by the way its the original turbo for a gts-t r33 1993 skyline. and is it easy to fit a new one myself. i am an engineer and ive done most of the mods myself but unsure if its safe enough for me to fit myself.

now that you mention it the turbo oil seal does sound right

yeh i had tape on the busted pipe which just go me round. the turbo is just the standard turbo with a 3inch dump pipe to 3.5 inch exhaust system

hey guys got a skyline turbo has intercooler and everything needed to give it 368hp at the rears, ill cut to the chase. when i accelerate hard then change gears white/greyish smoke pours out the exhaust, but only when i change gears not while im accelerating or even idleing. the car use to run like a dream then i blew an intercooler pipe and drove around with it busted for about a week (silly i know) i got it fixed but it hasnt run the same since its alot more sluggish now. the power use to be instant now its sluggish till the boost comes in then it picks up. plz help. dont know what to do.

does anybody a good cheap aftermarket ecu i can buy. ive got 550cc injectors now but ive been informed that they will do stuff all unless i have an aftermarket ecu. ive got about $500, help is much appreciated

hey guys, installed an intercooler and boost controller a while back, now the boost controller is a manual one with a little screw to wind in and out with a wire running into the cab where i have a little aircraft flip switch for high low boost, i took it to the dyno the other day and wound the boost to 9psi and got 298rw/hp then wound it to 10psi and got 307rw/hp. i was aiming for 320 so i tried to wind it up more but nothing happened. after 10psi it didnt matter how much i wound the screw out it would sit on 10psi sometimes hitting 10.5psi. whats goin on i want to push 12psi. getting very frusturated. is it the controller or turbo? i dunno

how are ya lads, im about to buy and install 550cc injectors. now ive been told two different things. im currently running 10psi high boost, when i put the new injectors in will i need the car tuned to suite. some people say nope the cpu will work out ratios and others say yes you should get it tuned. dont know?

im looking for cheap injectors around 600 to 800 dollars. hopefully 550cc. got a lightly modifies r33 running 10psi, but its just not getting the kick i hoped so i think i need to upgrade the injectors, it seems to be starving for fuel. thanks guys ill keep on searching the net.

hey lads, took me car in for a compression test and i have suspect piston rings, just wondering if anyone has had to get them changed before and how much would a set of rings be for my skyline. i was also thinkin abo ut just buying new pistons as well, if anyone has any advice on what to do i would be glad to her from ya. cheers

hey lads, ive looked everywhere but cant seem to find were to buy s1 aftermarket headlights. the headlights on mine are all faded and cracked. ive tried to buff it out but no good, plus the cops wreckon there to bad so they have to be changed. and i know there fairly expensive so if anyone knows of cheap ones lying around would appreciate it. cheers

im currentley boosting to 12psi on high. its all good now but, just took her for a drive the other day and holy shit there is a big difference from 8psi to 12psi, she flys now.

my mods consist of, pod filter exhaust bov fmic boost controller how much would it be to get new coilpacks?

dont worry lads, found the problem, but now when i flick on high boost and i punch it, when it reaches max boost the engine missfires constantly. piss me off

hey lads just installed my boost controller, and i took it for a spin, but when i tried to set the high boost level, it did squat shit. there was no change in the boost. i could wind the screw all the way out without having any change in boost levels, has anyone had this problem before

thanx mate but on your pic the hose with the t piece that has to be cut is at the bottom originally, where as mine is on the top.

quick question lads, do i hook my manual boost controller up on the line that goes from my waste gate to my inlet manifold?

hey lads, just bought a HDi (hybrid development international) electric boost controller, ive searched for instructions on how to install it but nothing i can really follow, has anyone got this type or at least got any step by step with pictures, i assume you cut the hose going from the intake manifold to the waste gate and stick it in there, but then im unsure which way to wind the screw, i dont want to wind it the wrong way and f**k my turbo. cheers

hey lads, just bought a hybrid intercooler kit for my r33 s1, i was told i could install it myself but i think id rather let someone else do it, does anyone know around how much it would be to have it installed and tuned, ive also got an electronic boost controller to go in. so if anyone has had this done to the car recentley could ya let me know, cheers
