Hmm.. being German I am obvisously biased! Personally, I think the final match will be Germany / Italy ...and Germany will loose. As for the Socceroos - No offense, guys.....but I do not think that the Aussies will make the 2nd round...I'd love to be wrong about this, tho.... Good luck! Chanz

Yup.....but there aint no Drags on the Nuerburgring, mate! Just "normal" lap races As for age...well...37 years should be aight, I guess :-)) Cheers... Chanz

Thanks for that mate.....I have thought about it all: I can spend 25k on the car alone I do not think a Skyline could pose any limitations - I was racing cars on the Nuerburgring in Germany, Petrol and Insurance prices do not come into my calculations. I want a Skyline that I can modify for even more speed and power.... Is there a good and known Skyline mechanic in VIC? Cheers!

Hi y'all... I'm the Noob here....I introduced myself in the VIC section, as I live there.... Anyways: I want to get a Skyline and am wondering which model I should be going for, and what I should pay special attention to when buying it. I want to use the car in everyday driving, as well as on the 1/4 mile (I am new to DragRacing, but I am completely hooked on it).... I care about that easily accessible engine-management, which offers the possiblitity of changing my ECU setiings... I prefer a 2 door car. The fatter the wheels-the better I like it. (235s as an absolute min) I dont care much about petrol consumption...I want Power over Economy. I dont need too much plastic on my car - tho I must admit that some RicedUp Skylines I have seen live and in your profiles do look shithot! I will have around 25k available for a car around August this year - thats when all my Sponsorship Visa stuff will have been sorted out, and I know that I will be here for at least a few more years. What kind of a trouble-free but fast skyline should I be going for...?? (I wouldnt mind if it would cost less!:-)) Please give me some advice and hints on this! Thanks heaps for your help! Speaking of damn Yanks...not all of them are mindless - this site was opened after Bush was re-elected. Check the Gallery...it gives Hope! ;-) www.sorryeverybody.com Chanz :-p

Oh well... Cheers, y'@ll Chanz EDIT: Just noticed u guys have no swear filter...Umm..I grew up with americans...Ill try my best to keep it clean tho...No Offense!

@Russell and Paradizzle - Sweet as...I ll be looking around for you. Youll probably HEAR me rather than notice my lil wagon anywhere!:-)) I am from Kiel originally, mate - Thats about 100 Km northwest of Hamburg. Lived most of my life abroad though. @Autotrust- Do it, mate...its FUN! @ctjet - Whoops! Sorry bout that....error corrected! In a rush now.... Have good ones... ! (LOL) Chanz

I will definately do that as soon as I have a Skyline! Cant wait! How many Victorians are active Draggers here...? I go to Heathcote quite regularly -prefer it to calder. Chanz
-
Thanks for that, mate! Will go there right away and see if they can hook me up....which one are u driving??
-
Hehe.. thx for the welcome, guys! :-)) Yeah..Im German..thats why im so keen on Drags..I used to think wtf?? Big deal- drive 400m down a straight line.... 15.303 in a stock magna wagon - all I did was retrard the timing belt by one tooth :-) That same day at Heathcote I wanted to check out my new "mods" on my Magna (o/s TB, 2 1/2 inch system incl HF cat, etc.)...I was up against a Skyline (nfi which one but it was an r33). I knew I have a good RT so i should be quicker at the launch (not that it makes a difference in the race - i know that)...When the lights came I gave it my best...and the Skyline was behind me...I was getting happier each meter....until I realised that the biatch hadnt even launched yet....anyway...I was well along the track until he ripped it....and still FLEW past me...I honestly thought I was standing still. That brown R33 did an 11.857! -- anyone here?? Chanz

Hey guys and gals... just wanted to say Hi! I am new to Oz...German by nationality...I got here in October last year and plan to remain here for quite a while longer - great place, great country! I had a go at Drag racing with my Mitsubishi Wagon (3.0l manual) - did a 15.303 @ 89.45 mph in my very first drag ever in a stock car. Make a long story short - I got into the Drag-Fever.My plan now is to get that Wagon into the 13s (using NOS / extractors etc.) and then sell it in favour of a Skyline. What a car! - in Germany they are not available freely. I was watching a documentary on the Skyline and was amazed by the easily accessible engine management...perfect for a geek like me! I already joined this forum, because I want to get some feedback from you Skyline owners and drivers on which model I should be going for...Pros and Cons of R32, 33 etc. - I am sure I will find heaps of answers in previous Threads ( I will be checking them out)...This was just a quick "Hello" so you all know who I am and what I want here. My very first question, however: I live in Doncaster,Melbourne- where could I test drive an R33 GT-R..? This is the model that I am currently keen on purchasing. Cheers, and catch y'all soon... Chanz
