    Oh Dear...

if you have gotten your p's before the new restrictions come in, these new laws don't affect you. i e-mailed vic roads. :]

    Oh Dear...

My r33 gts-t is going to be registered in my dad's company name. how ever i've been driving mine everywhere for a week. on a trade plate (because it just got in from japan and isnt registered yet.) and suprisingly i havn't been pulled up yet. and i thought a p plater in a skyline with no front number plate. would stand out badly. :s
  4. hahaha. my 33 doesn;t have rear speakers either. just small holes in the parcel shelf. and wires. haha. the dude in japan must of taken them out.

i thought you were allowed to accelerate as fast as you want up to the limit, as long as you don;t break traction.
  6. hey. yep i see what you mean. but there is infact paint under there. what i'm talking about is the black stuff in the circle i have made. its like a dirt/dust. that part you have marked is just a thick line of that black stuff. all the paint is still there and in good condition. :] could be anything. its on the strut towers in the engine bay but i have cleaned most of it off that. hmm. EDIT:. i should have marked more clearly what i meant, but i have circled the most obvious patches of it. and you can see it gets thinner in some places.
  7. the car isn't that old. 1996 gtst. 60,000 genuine km's. the car is really clean ie. no stone chips. just this black stuff. its like a dirt. but its stuck to the car. like. degreaser then hose of doesnt work.. if you put degreaser then rub your finger on it. it starts to come off. if you put degreaser then rub it with a cloth it slowly comes off after rubbing it. but i ws just wondering if there was a easier solution. so save me maybe taking the door off its hinges to get on those flat surfaces where my hand won't fit. etc. i think i'll jsut get a cloth and rub it all off. will take a while. but my car being white. just in the engine bay makes the white paint in there look a bit dirty and in the door. :]
  8. The paint is underneath the black stuff. so the paint hasn't come off.
  9. Hey. i picked my car up from customs the other day. and there is black stuff in all the door cracks, engine bay and boot cracks... With a bit of degreeser it slowly rubs off but it takes a while. and its hard to get into some places to rub it off.. i am guessing its something they might have sprayed in quarenteen to kill any bugs/plantlife. i'm just wondering if there is any good product on the market that removes this easily? thanks.
  10. i actually agree with that 100% the same would apply if a young person was accidently doing 20k over the limit. compared to an elderly person doing 20k over the limit. the younger person would be labeled more of a hoon.
  11. That is Talent more than anything. IMO
  12. I heard RX7's are no longer allowed to be imported? :[
  13. its an alright game. gameplay is a bit short (it is easily finishable with less that 12 hours non stop playing.) drifting aspects is maybe a bit too easy. but over all its not a bad game. maybe not worth $80. but if you can get your hands on someone else's and get a crack. GO FOR IT!
  14. i came across this picture.
  15. order sent. :]
  16. there special ability, they usually slow down and cut the opponent off causing them to spin out.
  17. I e-mailed vic roads. if you have your Ps before July 2007 the rules don't apply. this is what the told me. "The new high powered vehicle restrictions will apply to all drivers issued a probationary licence from July 2007. This means if you currently hold or are issued a probationary licence on or before 30 June 2007 then you will not be affected by the change in the high powered vehicle requirements. However if you will be issued with a probationary licence on or after 1July 2007, then the new restrictions will apply. This 12 month lead time is designed to let people know well in advance of the new requirements of what type of vehicle they should consider acquiring if they are likely to obtain their licence after this date. The current exemptions for use for work reasons and exceptional circumstances will continue to apply. Information about the current high powered vehicle restrictions are provided in the following link http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/vrne/vrne5n...EB0019D1F0?open High powered vehicles under as of July 2007 are explained in the following link http://www.arrivealive.vic.gov.au/download.../GLSA4_FAQs.pdf Under the new high powered vehicle restrictions, it is expected that the sorts of non turbo, non V8, non super charged cars that are likely to be banned include BMW 3 series and M3, Honda NSX, Nissan 350Z or if the capacity of the car exceeds 115kw/T or more that 205kw. Regarding your question about green Ps, you will be bound by the conditions when your original licence was issued. At 1July 2008 you will only need to serve the remaining period of your Ps, on the Green Ps." i am keeping the e-mail, so if i ever get pulled over. i have evidence.
  18. Hmm ok so i was thinking of getting a skyline as my first car. in victoria the law is a power to weight ratio of a certain amount.. a r33 gts-t is more than that, yet i still see a number of people driving them. is there a loop hole that allows probationary drives to be allower them?
