  1. ps. what exactly are the cv joints and what do they do? cheers
  2. my mate had a bit of a look and said there was virtually nothing left on the bushes on the little link arms that come off the front sway. assuming it's either that or the cv joints, do i need to worry about driving it much?
  3. yes it is a car. lol. r32gtr - having driven it more, it sounds and feels like worn bushes in the front sway bar maybe. which could explain why it happens when turning but also going over bumps.
  4. hey i'm getting this problem somewhere either in the breaks or the steering rack or thereabouts. it only seems to happen after longer periods of driving, like maybe half an hour or so and in the heat. i'll turn and hear this kinda noise that's like a dull clunking. it seems to be made worse when the breaks are under load, but it does it regardless anyway. any clues? i'm sorry my description is fairly, well, non descript but if anyone has any ideas that'd be handy. thanks guys.
  5. hey guys, was good meetin some of u and was fun being part of a big convoy of skylines, sorry i bailed early but had to help the sis with wedding plans. lookin forward to the next one anyways!
  6. love this car!!! dunno, about the skirt on the bottom tho.
  7. i was about to add that they should make a dead or alive movie... quickly realised oh yeah, they did. and what a tit fest it was! - actually i haven't seen it, but i can only hope it lived up to the game.
  8. cheers mate. it's riding pretty high for my liking at the moment, but all the money's currently going to rego, insurance, alarms, etc. it'll only get better... hopefully!
  9. lol that was me. had to drop off dad at coles to get some dinner, so decided to do a few laps while i waited for him.
  10. the place i went to suggested either viper or hornet, and having just read viper is not australian standard i've been put off. anyone got any experience with hornet? everyone here seems to be keen on mongoose, but i've yet to find anyone locally (in canberra) that deals with mongoose.
  11. anyone got one? if i was going to change the front bar, this would be the only option i'd consider. just wondering if anyone had anymore pics other than the ones on the east bear site, and powerplay imports.. http://www.powerplayimports.com/index.php?...t&cat_id=50
  12. cheers guys. car goes in for first service on wednesday so i'll bring it up.
  13. depends what u want man. 33gtst will not have the guts or handling of a 32gtr, but it's still not a slow car, and will be newer therefor easier to maintain and probably attract less negative attention (ie, little pricks keying the car!), also more comfy inside. on the other hand a 32gtr is an iconic piece of motoring history, specially here in oz and is just an all out great car. personally haven't had to fork out for any repairs yet, but its sure to happen. just bear in mind that that's a likely factor when buying one. but yeah, i made my choice, and 32gtr was the go and i do not regret it at all.
  14. just delete the 'index.php' part and it works. funny site, i like the idea!
  15. only 34 gtr i've seen in canberra is the blue on that's in philip. i think it's the guy that owns the blockbuster video there.
  16. where would one get an engineers certificate then? sorry, i'm new to all this.
  17. drop off a resume at all the bunnings'. he'll at least get a call, and provided he's not a retard he should get a job... actually i take that back, bunnings seems to specialise in hiring 'special' people, so could be to his advantage if he were to act like he were missing a couple bottles from his six pack if u know what i mean lol. but seriously, give it a go, they pay much better casual rates than most places.
  18. man i get around. i'm usually too preoccupied trying to act cool in my car so i may not necessarily notice people waving at me lol.
  19. dude said an engineer wont approve it anymore. now 15mm is the limit apparently.
  20. went over the pits this morning and they failed me for window tints (Easy enough) and also my friggin rolling stock is too big. 17x8's are fine apparently but the tires are too tall (by 5mm!) so whats the cheapest way out of this? just get some shite old tyres? suppose i don't have much choice.
  21. lol. probably just go the old punch to the face, if that were the case. never really believed in this eye for an eye stuff anyway lol. good call.
