  2. damn, why must people have such contrasting views? thanks tho dudes.
  3. just wondering if anyone's dealt with/bought cars thru autostyle in sydney? talked to dominic on the phone the other day and he seemed pretty reasonable but just wanted some opinions (if there are any) as to their service and the quality of their cars - thinking about buying thru them. any feedback would be cool, thanks guys
  4. as long as i'm not setting up, i'll be there watching!
  5. is this the merici formal? my band's playing there.
  6. wow, i can't wait to buy one!
  7. seriously? flat? that's awesome!
  8. i guess this is pretty general knowledge but i don't seem to be able to find an answer anywhere. so can anyone tell me what kinda time a stock r32 gtr will pull down a 1/4 mile? cheers.
  9. nice falcon dude, i'm a big ford fan - i love xr6t's. can't afford one myself but managed to con dad into buying one at least! typhoon bar looks tough, though in my opinion i think the bf typhoon bar would've been a bit cooler.
  10. and when's sinista gonna post some pics of his ride? i mean really, a car like that needs to be seen.
  11. thanks man, yeah i really hope whatever i decide on is a good 'un.
  12. i hope i don't get shot for this. bearing in mind i am buying an r32 gtr come year's end, i do at the moment need a mode of transport and that currently is an ef falcon. got a venom kit, pacemaker headers, sitting on koni's and king springs and thats about it. nothing special but its still my baby. currently has the driver's door bashed in a bit
  13. saw sinista's ride for the first time the other day going passed the southo. man that thing looks nice! i was feeling super cool in the bashed up falcon with mum in the passenger seat and groceries in the back.
  14. woah, hopefully for full comp i'll be able to keep it under 3g. i tried to get an online quote from shannons but they didn't seem to list gtr's. i have a fairly clean driving record - just a minor speeding fine and several parking tickets. i'll be 22 when i insure it tho so that may not help my cause (flattered that insurance companies still consider me young). thanks guys.
  15. hey, just wondering what kind of prices people are paying to have their cars insured and with who? i don't actually own the car yet, but do plan to buy an r32 gtr at the end of the year and wondering what kinda costs i'll be looking at to insure the sucker if i even can. i've sent away for a couple quotes, but wouldn't mind getting some more feedback from people who've already been thru it. cheers guys, and sorry if this isn't the ideal section to post this
  16. i only wanna spend 12k on the car to start with because i want something fairly stock, that way i can build it up myself - not personally do everything myself obviously, but u know what i mean right? i want it to be as much my work as possible rather than buy something someone else has already done. that's fair isn't it? i don't need a 10 second car or anything though so i can't really justify buying a gtr.
  17. ok so it looks like forkin out for an rb26 to cuck in the gtst will most likely be the go for me. any clue how much a recon'd one might cost? i'm guessing probably about a 5k mark hopefully? assuming it's had nothing major done to it? or maybe i should just buy any old one and have it rebuilt? assuming budget is not an issue what might be the better option?
  18. ahoi hoi, first post here. yet to be a skyline owner but hopefully will be by year's end. i was hoping to just get some opinions from those experienced before i throw my money at a any old skyline. i'm pretty much thinking to buy a relatively stock r32gtst and i want to spend around $12k. however there are a couple things i wanna know first. mainly just how much difference there is between a gtr and the good ol' gtst. obviously engine and capacity is one, but will a worked rb20det be able to match a worked rb26? or are they just completely different and am i better off forking out the extra few grand for a gtr in the first place? or how would an rb26 fair in a gtst and what costs am i looking at for that? i have a lot more questions but i think that may be enough for one post. any help would be appreciated, cheers guys.
