hey guys, just thought i'd share the pics of my car with its new grille. whatddya think? i pretty much love it. bit saggy on the left, but i'll live with it still. cheers

yeah so do it! its a handy little shortcut. i wish i could afford to get the whole thing resprayed but nay. not yet. will the new grille not fit with the bonnet lip? i'm pretty sure i've seen pics with both.

haha, you even saw my car at autotech! yeah, i was pretty excited about having a fairly unique looking 32 but i guess two of a kind in all of canberra ain't so bad. i'm taking the grill to canberra car styling in fyshwick first because i want black mesh rather than the silver it came with. then to fine finish also in fyshwick to get it sprayed, as i know the owner a little so hopefully they'll do a good job. taken some other bits to them in the past for my falcon and they did a decent job. nothing spectacular but the rest of the car's not exactly show finish so i'm not too fussed. one day it'll be beautiful but i'm more concerned with function at the moment, as sadly my budget won't allow for both! there's actually a couple skylines at bunnings now. one of the lads in paint is gradually doing up his 33gtst and one of the bosses has a tough white 31 - with a baby seat in the back.

yeah fair enough. i just like playing with the car that's all! just out of curiosity, how do you get to the afm menu on the pfc? (which is what i'm running).

so chuckin on some nismo afm's on the gtr this afternoon so will the car need a tune? it will cop one regardless next monday, but will it be right for the week before that or should i just hold off till then? cheers guys!

yay for white gtr's! very jealous of both your power figures! mine's putting out a measley 220rwkw, but that's just from a power fc so its ok i guess. getting pretty high in the k's though - about to hit 120! argh, gonna have to use it as less of a daily driver. hey what this about the original badge? is it more maroon than red? ie, does mine look original too? or are we talking something totally different! hey to get the black stuff off - i've tried so much in the way of car cleaning products, grease removers etc. everything still left a faint black stain. but i've finally found the product - go to your local bunnings (if it happens to be fyshwick then you may see my car there as i occasionally bust a shift there!), go to the car cleaning products and grab a thing of turtle wax bug and tar remover. it really works, u just spray it on, then wipe it off and the black shit just comes right off. was probably the happiest day of my recent life when i tried that stuff!

sweet. hope someone can spray mine asap! as far as the badge goes, the 'r' is definitely a lot brighter red than the one on my boot, and more metallic, but i just assumed that mine was very faded. on the back in the middle there's two threaded holes in a vertical line. so just a couple of screws through the mesh behind it basically.

yeah, had filter on. dunno how long they've been like that though. the other one's kinda almost out as well. good thing i ordered some new ones!

hey i took the plunge and got the 34 one. i read on the skyline uk forum that it just sticks out further. i'd recommend it too, as i got the new grille today and it sits very nicely without getting shadowed over by the bonnet like i've seen has happened to a lot of people. ps the grille it excellent if you haven't got yours yet.

was putting pods on and noticed the afm looks a little worse for wear. i guess nothing has made it thru, as the grill on the other side is still intact. but still...

got it all out and got the pods in. sounds great and i guess its the fresh filters but the car is blowing less smoke at the moment which is nice. cheers!

keep seein a white 32 gtr parked in manuka with nismo rear pods and those chunky skirts usually more on gtst's. nice car, think i got a wave as they were pulling out a couple weeks ago actually.

if i can just get that damn intercooler piping away from it then it'd be easy but the thing won't budge. maybe i'll try wedge it off somehow. but then i worry i won't be able to get it back on argh! thanks for the help though!

uhh... possibly. it looks more like this...

ok so it seems pretty much i have to move the outlet hose but after taking the hose clamp off it still won't budge. do i have to cut the zip ties around the insulating thingy? cuz they've got little clips on them that hold some other hoses. this seems a lot harder than it should be.

yeah, was gonna keep the snorkel. i don't see how you're supposed to get the bottom afm off. there's just no room. and not like 'trying to change the oil filter' no room. like actually no room. hrmm..

yeah, i think the bottom afm must be attached to the top half too cuz i did disconnect the top one but it still wouldn't budge. now it's light out at least, should be a bit easier hopefully. cheers!

so just got some apexi air filters for my 32 gtr but being the noob i am, i can't actually figure out how to get the old air box out! did a bit of a search but couldn't really find anything surprisingly. any help? thanks guys!

hi, does anyone have one of these and/or know what kind of volume these things put out? keen to buy one but i don't want something outrageously loud. i know hks have a silent hi power series and i've heard them (on youtube) but they seem to keep it a little too quiet in the upper rev range. any help would be appreciated, cheers guys!
