  1. sweet, thanks!
  2. hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows if the apexi air intake kit will bolt up with nismo afm's without any hassles? i think they do but just wanna be certain before i go throwing my money about online! cheers.
  3. wow that sucks. i remember when my hicas was playing up and my car would on occasion decide to turn a little sideways even when in a straight line - not quite as dramatic as yours by the sounds of it! the problem just disappeared after a while for me. good luck!
  4. cool, got it all sorted and working beautifully, thanks heaps for the info, much appreciated!!!
  5. cool, well i'll see how i go, cheers!
  6. ok, so took it apart again and got some more snaps. so as you can see the old head unit has a bolt for the earth to slide into and the new head unit doesn't. do i need it? old head deck new head deck and here's what the clarion cable goes back into and just to clear up, the black plug is power and the grey is for the dash controls? i thought it was the other way round in the diy, but the black was the one plugged into the head deck and the grey one was just loose. and lastly, what the hell is this for?? it was just loose. thanks guys, much appreciated!
  7. ok, i went to the effort of reading all 15 pages (and i'm a slow reader!) and i didn't find an answer to my question. i took my car to the garage the other day and asked about the whole o2 thing as i'm getting bollocks economy. anyhoo, the guy turned off the o2 sensor from my power fc to see if the economy improves. does this make sense? i wouldn't have thought the economy would go any better just because the sensors are turned off but i'm going to run through a tank first to see how it goes - so far looks the same though. this is a 32gtr btw. cheers guys - sorry to make this thread even longer!
  8. cheers, but my car needs quite a bit of tidying up at the moment! what was yours in for?
  9. ha. i wonder if anyone's ever used them.
  10. saw a white 32 gtr at autotech yesterday which i initially mistook for my car until i noticed the white wheels and bonnet lip. nice car!
  11. cool, well i'll pull it all apart again tomorrow and take some more pics. and no, i'm not in adelaide, ACT i'm afraid thanks for your help!
  12. ok, so i read the diy which was handy but unfortunately the pictures aren't working and i have a poor command of stereo terminology which made it a little hard to understand. mainly i don't know what an ISO is. is that just the white and red plugs? now i have a feeling this was covered in the diy but when i took the stereo out i was confronted with a white plug (attachment) instead of the ol' white and red plugs needed for my new head deck. is there just an adaptor i can buy which will convert this? also, in the top middle-ish of the picture you can see there's a wire clip thing that just sat under a bolt in the old head deck. what's this for and do i need it? because my new head deck has nowhere for this thing to hook in. cheers! sorry if my descriptions are poor
  13. thanks guys! managed to get it out without removing the seat which was good. i don't really understand the purpose of those clips on the shelf though. they didn't seem to be clipping into anything! oh well, looks fine. quick question though, what's the point of those brackets that sit over the speaker? obviously they're there for the big black things on top of the speaker grills to bolt into, but what're they for? i just left them off for the time being. cheers!
  14. ok, so i got the two big arse bolts out on top of the speaker grills. ... so uh.. now what? do i just rip it out? cheers. apologies for the noob question!
  15. i thought it was a 65l tank? have i been smoking too much crack again?
  16. there was much bloodshed, sweat and profanity, but i got them all out. in my defence, i'm not a complete noob. i just wondered if there was actually some awesome way to do it that i wasn't aware of. sadly not.
  17. ok thanks guys. i was really hoping there was just something i was missing but apparently it is just a stupid as it seems, bugger lol. cheers guys!
  18. should i be pulling just the screw or the whole thing?
  19. i'm trying to remove the tail lights from my 32 to get the water out of them, but i hit an obstacle fairly early on. how do you get these things out? i only managed to get one out by very lightly unscrewing it but that doesn't seem to be working on the others thanks!
  20. that's not bad actually, but i find the best bodykits are the ones that develop what's already there in terms of a car's design. to me, the only kit i know of that does that with the r32 is the east bear kit. http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=e...i%26rls%3Den-us
  21. is there a difference? i had an idea that the 34 one is just thicker ie. it sticks out further, but i could just be on crack.

  23. yeah, they wouldn't let me thru because the rolling diameter of the tyres that came with the car were 1cm too big. clearly though, my life was in peril and had they not found this out it could have resulted in a life threatening accident.
  24. sweet, thanks for the info guys!
  25. 500?!! you are the luckiest man on this earth. without trying to hijack the thread, what petrol do you use? i use bp ultimate if i can, as it seems to make the car produce less black smoke.
