  1. Are you still on standard injectors too? if so change them and put a Z32 afm on and it should make way more power when its retuned with more boost.
  2. bit of an update. Ran a 14.5 sec 1/4m back in January on crap tyres with 97mph trap speeds. Still contemplating putting a set of MT streets on the back + nistune and go for a 13 second pass. TT conversion coming soon Ignore the missing indicator, someone reversed into the car and destroyed it.
  3. Yeah i personally can't wait to do mine, learning how to tune and what different timing and fuel maps etc do fascinates me.
  4. LOL at F&F quotes. Thanks for the replies guys, i'm gunna try doing the course as soon as i can but i'm already mid way into a turbo conversion so when the cars ready i'll try organising a group of people who are interested for the day.
  5. Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has done a tuning course at Unigroup Engineering? If so how good was it? Now i know Yavuz and he's worked on my car before but was just wondering if anyones done the course. I'm looking at learning how to tune as its just something that i'd like to know how to do, i currently have an AEM Eugo wideband on the way but in terms of knock detection equipment i'm still looking. I know the basics of tuning but seeing what others have done and reading up on it doesn't compare to getting hands on experience. I'm going to be tuning my Nissan 300ZX Z32 NA+TT with 10.8:1 comp and Water/Methanol Injection.
  6. Hmmmm can't wait to get my WMI kit now. Just bought the turbo kit for my 300ZX (doing NA+TT) and will be looking to put 15psi into it, its running 10.8:1 Static comp atm. A friends 300ZX TT is doing 250rwkw on 15psi with standard turbos but i'm aiming for about 225rwkw with mine, any more is a bonus.
  7. Ok so theoretically say we have two engines of the same spec apart from compression. One is 10.5:1 comp and the other is 8.5:1 comp. If the 10.5:1 motor is on 7psi, would it make the same power as the 8.5:1 motor on the same boost?? Sorry i'm a n00b.

  10. Fuel pressure and injector size don't magically change between two 6 cylinder engines. That motor is running standard 3 Bar fuel pressure.

ACL pistons Custom top fuel rail. Nismo 555cc. UAS Twin pass radiator. UAS FMIC. Microtech Computer. This is a car i looked at buying for some time but the price was just too high. It was at UAS a fair bit.

  14. +1 for Clio's, my mate had one bog stock on semi slicks and around corners was the fastest car i've been in in first, second and a little bit of third it use to stay level with my cousins 200rwkw R33.

  16. gt3540 was making full boost by 4500rpm on my dads old r33 skyline, on an rb20 it would be almost undriveable i would think.
  17. Try an "F1 racing" clutch, which also goes by the name "gripforce". I have one in my car and i know of several in cars pushing 300+rwkw and going for 2 years+. Not bad for a $250 clutch

Then all the commo's have to do is change the diff to a 3.69 or 3.89 and you won't be sticking with anything. 14's aren't a hard thing to get, mate of mine has a supra thats doing 14.7 with a bit of work and my 300zx is doing 14.5. The thing i've noticed with commodores is they take off fairly quickly(with a shorter diff, like 3.89 or so) but lack a fair bit up top, even the new SIDI VE SV6 isn't that quick.
  19. From what i've seen personally i'd be suprised if an autech was much faster if at all then an NA R34. May just be bad drivers or a badly set up car, but i haven't seen them pull impressive times for NA's.
  20. More then one of my mates have blown them with button clutches, mates r32 GTS box lost 1st gear completely.
