Ahhh cheers for that, i have no idea why i had it the wrong way around in my mind, but very useful info in any case. I know atleast one guy on the 300zx forums swears by it, made 540rwhp with gt2860-5's and eliminated the IC completely.

From What i understand the methanol in the mix will increase the effective octane of the fuel. Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.

I remember back quite a few years ago, when all these aftermarket bits were way too expensive, mate had a R33 GTSt fresh from japan with highflow turbo, highflow injectors, mines ecu etc we all thought it was king shit back then but doesn't quite stack up now.

Yeah Unique automotive in villawood, he tuned my friends turbo excel, well tried to atleast. They told him to tune it on no more then 10psi, but he ended up incorrectly setting the boost controller to 18psi. Was also overheated on the dyno 3 times.

You aren't using Unique automotive are you? Few of my mates had quite a bit of trouble with the tuner there and even ended up blowing a mates motor up while tuning it.

They don't overheat when taken care of lol.

Will be pushing it up to 15-17psi and yeah outright power is the goal.

Hey guys, got a bit of an "oddball" setup going on, am doing a remote mount turbo. Engine is a VG30DE 10.5:1 comp, and am looking at a TD06-20G as the turbo. Will be running Water/methanol with no IC, but will only be running 7psi for the first week or two. Would a TD06-20G be too big? maybe choose a smaller exhaust housing then usual?

Us guys on the 300ZX forum use "F1 racing/Gripforce" clutches, several cars are pushing 320+rwkw on them without a problem.
