  1. Ok, turns out the rod behind the pedal was adjusted all the way out causing the clutch to be slightly engaged when the oil got hot enough to expand. I backed it off a thread and a half and it doesn't slip at all anymore.
  2. Hey guys, just bought an R33 GTSt the other day, had a exedy tuff clutch fitted around 6 months ago with receipts etc. Car has been driving fine the last couple of days however today after driving it in hot weather for about 30 minutes the clutch slipped under load. I let the car sit for about an hour and took it for a drive and again the clutch gripped as it should. However after another 15 minutes of driving it slipped again. Guess i'm up for another clutch? I know a slipping clutch is because the clutch is stuffed but why would it only be slipping in heat? I'm thinking the heat may be getting to the rear main seal and causing it to weep when its hot.
  3. The powertune r34 had a 7175 on 45psi and made 700kw. It was a 2.8 stroker though.
  4. I agree with this.
  5. Is it non vspec? If so how much for the diff and shipping to 2147. Have cash waiting
  6. still looking guys, have cash ready.
  7. Hey guys as the title suggests, i am after a NON Vspec R32 GTR LSD(R33 too if its the same?). Preferably without half shafts as i don't need them. Located in western sydney but can travel or happy to pay post. Have cash waiting guys! Let me know what you have. Nem - 0405691220
  8. Mate it seems you have bigger issues than what tyres to choose, your car is running similar times and MPH to what my non turbo 300ZX ran on $70 tyres. My bet is your CAS may not be set to 15* or something in your setup is restrictive as hell.
  9. Anyone running a nistune flex fuel setup? Any first hand experience? I'm currently mid-way through my E85 conversion on my 300ZX and i don't know of many cars running nistune with the flex upgrade.
  10. Can't wait to see results of this, a guy over on AUS300ZX made 492rwkw on his GT2860-5's so i want to see how much your version can make.
  11. Nismo 555cc's in my parts car flowed 360rwkw on a mainline dyno with plenty of headroom.
  12. Throw it away mate, get something else. I had a profec B spec 2 and it stopped working all of a sudden. Opened it up, took it to get checked out and still never worked. Got an Eboost2 now, works great and looks the part.
  13. Ofcourse not, however you can get the total boost to a lot less than that. Pressure ratios multiply between compressors so what some guys have done is have it compound till the large turbo comes onto boost, then a bypass valve opens and flows as much air around the small compressor as possible. Boost Logic do it that way on their supra kits. GT35R/GT45R Compound kit, 24PSI by 3500RPM.....runs mid 10's at 140+mph
  14. Compound systems work VERY well and monster boost is NOT the only reason to do them . Have a read of this : http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=216811 Lots of compound systems out and working very well on petrol engines, best part of a compound system is to spool a turbo you normally wouldnt be able to, Kevin Jewers 2L DSM had a T3 50 trim and a S475 compounded and made full boost at 4500RPM (compared to NEVER with a single S475) and ran 8's. Although doing it i nthe way OP has mentioned it wont work at all.
  15. Anyone running GTX2867's on a 3L yet?
  16. Yep apparently the flanges on the turbo were warping due to excess heat and the guy had to have the flange machined several times. Edit: http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/405602-help-i-keep-warping-exhaust-manifolds-and-turbo-housings/
  17. What about in twin application? How would that 74mm compressor go with the 28RS rear?
  18. Anyone had a turbo highflowed with one of the kinugawa GTX compressor wheels? I have a pair of -5's that i wouldn't mind cramming GTX67 wheels into. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Billet-Turbo-Compressor-Wheel-Garrett-GTX2867R-49-7-67-4-Trim-55-11-0-/271774042157?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_15&hash=item3f46fec82d
  19. Just had a quick look and yes the turbine end looks to be the same, do you think these kinugawa GTX comp wheels would be any good? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Billet-Turbo-Compressor-Wheel-Garrett-GTX2867R-49-7-67-4-Trim-55-11-0-/271774042157?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_15&hash=item3f46fec82d If its possible to machine the housings, fit and balance the comp wheel then i'd be happy.
  20. No i meant putting a GTX2867 core into GT2860-5 housings, on a VG30DETT engine though.
  21. Stao are you able to highflow GT2860-5 turbos to GTX2867 or equivalent? I bought a parts car that was making 360rwkw on 98RON with the 2860's but i'm hoping to go a bit further than that.
  22. $1000 if taken this week guys!
