  1. "Signed up" I guess is more appropriate
  2. Yep, did that! Going for a 1 on 1 course at Unigroup Engineering once i register my 300ZX
  3. So you think he lost 70rwkw and gained what in the midrange? Makes no sense. Yes power delivery and area under the curve are what counts but come on.
  4. 3071's seem to work fairly well for a 3L engine, this is another members car on aus300zx. Not an RB but still 3L 98 RON 446rwkw 23PSI 98 RON+ Water Injection 489rwkw 23PSI
  5. I've spoken to him and Kevin jewer(8 sec compound turbo DSM) in regards to idea's for building my own compound setup Very informed guys and have been a big help. Still i'd love to try a compound turbo setup on an RB25, i've managed to find a way to shift the pressure ratios to the large turbo once its on boost so you don't get massive boost pressures but still get the great spool and top end. A Hypergear SS1 as the small turbo and a Super99HTZ as the large would be great fun Kevins 2L DSM was spooling a BW S480 1.32A/R at 4500rpm(45PSI) without nitrous.
  6. Maybe with a steel turbine wheel too
  7. Maatouks racing ran 8.02 @ 176MPH in their street registered GTR, new world record Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Maatouks-Racing/112970498868322
  8. Nitto - 10.3 @ 142MPH - 845awhp
  9. I've driven an R33 with a HX40, was very similar to my dads old 35R powered 33.
  10. I've seen anywhere from 7-20rwkw increase with FMIC's. The higher end increase was when the stock SMIC was damaged/blocked/full of oil and crap.
  11. I never really understood the point of installing a turbo that is suppose to be efficient at higher pressure ratios, then jamming into restrictive housings and stock exhaust manifolds. On 98ron its the perfect combination for a mediocre result.... Sounds like the setup is much better suited to a hypergear turbo. Just my 2c
  12. On 98RON your current ones will do just fine.
  13. Yep as above, check cam timing, try a new CAS and maybe drop the exhaust from the cat.
  14. Either way 120mph is a great result especially for that turbo.
  15. Not related to anything but a cool video IMO. Precision 8685 on a 2JZ
  16. Ok as promised: Piping comparison: 1.2BAR: 1.3BAR 1.4BAR: 1.5BAR: 1.6BAR: 1.7BAR: 1.8BAR: Just food for though Turbos are GT28RS (2860-5). Pump Fuel until 1.6BAR, C16 from 1.7BAR onwards.
  17. When I get home I will post up dyno sheets of z32s 2" vs 2.5" piping...the difference is around the 40rwhp mark. A gtr may not gain that much however, a z32 has around 2.5m of chqrge piping on each bank.
  18. Yep, i've seen it when the head wasn't skimmed properly...
  19. Lots of big power supras run them. Go bosch, a bit cheaper but work well.
  20. Bloody hell thats some good value. Especially considering ive seen what they can do on a 3L engine!
  21. Why such massive duration on the cams yet such a crappy lift? Going poncams would have been better IMO.
  22. Yep fairly insane, those promod huffers are rated to 1650hp!
  23. Looks like Mercury motor sports has ditched the 8285 on nitto for a promod88 :-D
  24. Ofcourse, however in the last few 33's i've installed these into drive great and do not ping at 11-12PSI(11.5-ish AFR)
  25. The SAFC doesn't bend AFR's, it bends the Airflow meter signal, which in turn causes the ECU to reference different cells(Fuel AND Timing) than it would without the AFC.....plus i only recommended it as a cheap alternative till he sorts out a proper ECU
