  3. Have been told this is pretty straight forward but wondering if anyone has any advice or quirky stories about installs that have gone wrong? It is going on an series 1 R33. Cheers.

  6. Stumbled across this post and thought I would add my little story… My mum did the new ways thing for a while and asked me to pop it in my car and give her some feedback. This was ten years ago, and in my first car a Datsun 180b SSS (try not to laugh at this guys!). After a very short time I was totally blown away when a pretty bad pinging problem stopped, I got more than 40 extra km’s out of a tank and I cold have sworn it revved smoother and had a touch more power. I also remember there being some magnetic properties to the additive? Now, I have no idea what the case may be in a skyline (especially turbo) but now my memory has been jogged I’m gonna give mum a call and see if she can still get me the goods. PS I am one of the worlds biggest skeptics. I have no interest in Neways and do not sell their goods (not comfortable with the whole pyramid/amway/neway thing. Just my honest feedback from using this product. PB8
  7. Interesting link. Not sure how qualified the info is but worth a read. PB8 http://r31skylines.bssc.edu.au/oils.txt
  8. 18in equipped and grinning! My advice...(for what it's worth) go for the 18's! Ride is not much stiffer (remember I swapped from 17 to 18 on the same car). What is all the fuss about?... sounds like short man's syndrome to me:) 18's fit easy, ride is still great, car handles much better, tires are getting much cheaper as time goes on as they get more popular, the whole package was only a few hundred buck more than 17in option, backend feels 100% better, no rubbing, and to put a cherry on top they look way, WAY, better (265x35)...etc, etc. Wheel choice is very limited though for 18x8 18x9 set up. I appreciate all the advice and comments. PB8
  9. Well over the last week I have asked people left, right and centre (owners/tyre salesman/this forum/suspensionexperts) which way to go.... The core of it is... if you got the cash go the 18x8 and 18x9. I drove both 17's and 18's this week on the same suspension set up (standard) and the ride is hardly different... after all it's just 5mm of side wall difference. I guess the real difference would be around tuning the suspension to suit the wheel size. Sports cars are full of comromise, this is just another one. lwells 's post was on the mark... it's all about the contact patch. Cheers PB8
  10. If it was $350 bucks the difference for a new set of 18's (with tyres), which way would you go? I can't see the ride being that much worse as it's only going from a 245 to a 240 anyway. Cheers PB8
  11. Cheers for the help lads. PB8
  12. Looking for some recommendations from experience... Is there much difference between the two ie. ride and handling... They are to go on a R33 GTS-t Also, is there any problem running a 235x40x18 on a 7.5x18? Thanks PB8.
  13. Are these good for an R33?
  14. thats a lot cheaper than I thought it would be! thanks for the advice.
