  1. See http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=144141 Thanks
  2. Hi guys, I have 2 pirelli racing slicks, they are 18/245 I think, if not 18/235. They have about 80% tread left on them and they are in townsville. I ran a 12.9 on them with basically no traction loss. Looking for offers above $200. Also have a set of two 15" chasers (for VL stud pattern) with bald tyres on them and 2 18" tyres with a burnout or two left in them which i will throw in if they go above $300. Email me on [email protected] or call or sms me on 0405229350. Thanks for looking.
  3. Yeah Hawkins was the other one I was thinking of... didnt reralise there were two others... ARB ? As in 4WD parts place... didnt realise they had one... cool. Wonder if any other them know ho0w to do a decent tune on a Wolf...
  4. hahahaha yeah ive noticed that they dont seem that good up here. Wont be here all that long, prolly move back to Sydney or Brisbane in a year or so... I am probably more worried about the amount of boost the engine can handle stock, I too have been told that 2530's are able to handle in the vicinity of 25psi, so obivously that isnt the weakest link. The turbo seems fine on face value, it has a nice spool down when I turn the engine off and everything, although thats not exactly a perfect diagnostic tool... Obviously there have to be a few people that have blown their RB20's ip, what kinda boost did it??
  5. The Wolf3D was tuned originally by Ricol in sydney with an aggressive tune for about two years, and now it has been tuned by TMS in Townsville. AFR is in the mid-12s to keep it relatively safe. Engine appears to be healthy but obviously havnt done a compression test so not sure. How much does a compression test cost roughly?! I guess its probably worth it...
  6. Is it just that you have to be involved in every post on the forum because you are a moderator, or do you just like revving people up?? I asked a simple question, so far one of the posts was from someone running substantial boost through the turbo and engine, which is what I want to know. You obviosuly dont have the setup I am talking about... Which posts is it that I am supposed not to have read R31Nismoid?? Is there 10 posts hiding there saying that someone ran 21psi and blew their engine up, and I just didnt notice them ?? Because thats what I am trying to find out...
  7. I also went to TMS about a month ago, he didnt do too shabby a job, although his tune had 20rwkw less then the last tune done by Rycol in Sydney, but claimed when he threw it on there it had 20 less then he got me (so it had 40rwkw less then its last tune). May have had something to do with the weather, lot cooler in Sydney. There are only two dynos in TSV tho as far as I am aware, TMS and another fella...
  8. Yeah im running 18 consistently now, was looking to go for something like 21psi when the weather cooled down, which is starting to happen now. Just wondering whether anyone else consistently runs 20+ through the turbo on stockers... Might just have to run 21psi on dyno days only?!
  9. By check the health of the motor you don't mean pull the head off and check the head gasket e.t.c. do you? Because thats way too time consuming for my liking. Obviously all turbos flow different amount of boost... but the fact that the 2530 is a very popular option for the RB20, I assume there are plenty of memebers running 2530 on stock internals, I was looking for some members, from their experience, to tell me what kinda boost they have run on similar setups.
  10. I am currently running 18psi through my RB20 with a Gt2530 day in and day out, and it runs fine, beautiful actually. I was wondering what the theoretical boost limits would be for a standard internal RB20, and this model of turbo. Saw some of the guys have been running 21psi, 22psi with similar setups. Running a Wolf3d v4 and eboost. The engine's history is fairly uncertain, but it has been running a consistent 18psi for at least the last 2 years, and the car has been drifted and thrashed fairly hard, although it runs fine currently. On a cold morning it is a bit spluttery and misfirey, but once she is going, runs fine. Obviously 18psi is not what you would call 'safe' for a reasonably old engine, but would like some advice.
  11. VL Calais RB20DET Lowmount GT2530 GTR Injectors Wolf3D V4 Eboost HKS FMIC Standard inlet plenum 3" cat back exhaust, 2 3/4 past muffler 180rwkw @ 18psi on 39 degree day in Townsville with conservative tune Had pulled 199.6rwkw at Rycol but don't have the slip. Planning on increasing boost to 21psi for a run in July...
