try searching SAU or in Google type site:skylinesaustralia.com "what you want to search" basically R32 GTR is a cult Car as all GTR's but they are getting very old and can be very very expensive to maintain, specially if you dont know what your looking for R34 GTT are pretty new and hence will be more modern and Newer, most states you can not own either car with a P plate. both can be modified and are anyway pretty fast even stock... GTR will always have lot more following and respect than the its single Turbo RWD brother

Advice Please On The Following R32 Gtr
maclarenf1 replied to Braddock's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
+1 so many nice R32 for sale in For Sale section and maintained by Skyline enthusiast's they might not be 60 year olds though but you can get nice one for 15-16K remember, the simple truth is there are way to many for sale than there are buyers, so just because a Car is worth 21K, does not mean you have to Pay 21K ... it is buyers Market with GTR's everyone becomes somewhat deperate at some point with these kind of special Cars as there are not many people interested with them... Look around and you shall find !!! -
Nice Car will have to wait till my V35 is sold, but a bit more than what i can spend not to mention the travel SA from QLD Free bump for Nice Car, i doubt you can import 44,000KM one with Log Books for this price now and in Bayside blue

Pros & Cons Of R34 Gtr ?
maclarenf1 replied to smithers's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
my fear is running 1.0 boost on 10 year old car with aging ceramic turbos ..... and that it will stuff the engine with ceramic bits...... AND engine rebuilt = BROKE or Divorce or BOTH this is when Evo 8 MR makes a lot of sense, but the heart says GTR !!! -

Pros & Cons Of R34 Gtr ?
maclarenf1 replied to smithers's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
i am also in the same boat, will be looking for one with basic mods i thought the bay side blue ones kept there value well, due to the colour, of cause midnight purple are very $$$$ will again be a weekender only my issue is even on stock form, the ceramic turbo will be coming close to 10 years now, always think that turbo will blow up and i will be end up with massive bill, which is Ok, explaining this to the CFO (wife) is whole another matter My basic idea is either get V-Spec from Jap land, you can import a decent one for around 42K landed (being in contact with ben at j-spec for jap used dealer and auction prices) as long as aussi doller is OK or find R34 GTR and fix Copy or genuine Tommy kaira diffuser, or a real Vspec diffuser (which are very expensive and hard to find) put some coil covers and lower it... that basically gives you the LOOK... and nice rimes to fill the Rims. few aussie places sell the V-spec front bar kit, if you really want the LOOK !!!! only after around 235 - 250 ish AWKW, so dont have to do a lot engine wise for me GTR tuning guide as a base to use http://nissanskyline.6te.net/tuning_GTR.htm so many articles in SAU as well mind you I was also for a long time in 2 minds about Evo 8 MR / R34 and there some nice modded ones and there bloody quick off the boat too (Evo 8 MR).... but always love the street presence of the R34 GTR or even R33 S3 V-spec, but 33 are getting a bit dated for my liking -

Nissan 'to relaunch 200SX' Nissan is poised to take on the reborn Mazda RX-7 and VW Scirocco with a follow-up to its 200SX coupé, insiders say. The new two-door, which would effectively replace the 200SX that was axed in 2002, would slot beneath the 370Z to give Nissan a more fuel-efficient and affordable fastback to counter the Scirocco and Renault’s three-door Mégane. The new Nissan would be rear-wheel drive, as before, but the challenge of finding a suitable platform on which to build it is proving difficult. A cut-down 370Z chassis has been considered but is likely to prove too heavy. The open-top, rear-drive sports car that Nissan was also exploring at one time — and which could also have provided the hardware — has been aborted. Nissan has also decided to utilise the next generation of its Tiida hatchback — sold in Ireland and Russia, but nowhere else in Europe — to bolster its family car line-up alongside the Qashqai. The Qashqai crossover has been judged a success, but the company still wants a conventional hatch — in effect, a replacement for the Almera — to take on the VW Golf and Ford Focus across Europe.
