i imported 2 cars from J-Spec (V35 and a R34 GTR V-Spec) both were under budget and top notch. the whole process from winning to You in the car took me about 2.5 months for the V35, 4 months for R34 due to being Christmas and heap of modifications on the car from Jap. Ben is always nice to deal with and prompt. with the Yen as it is, nice time to import, i have to say...

oh my god.. that is bad news indeed. you should start a new thread about the items. surely the SAU community member would be able to spot these selling off ebay / gumtree. hopefully insurance comes through quickly.

only M-spec in collector condition would be worth near that money in my opinion. the minute you put in HKS bits on it... it not longer is collector / investment level car, unless he has everything stock still with him, i don't think its worth that much. Still a bloody nice BNR34.

Imported 2 cars of them, including a R34 GTR. never had an issue.

i got 2000 V-Spec 1 with the silver dash, one think i can say is, its missing and it should have (bloody expensive to get a new one) is the dry carbon rear diffuser. stock original ones are very expensive and for me at least a must have item on a V-Spec + car. Apart from that looks to be in good nick. as R34 Prices go in Jap land, Silver ones are not the dearest, so you may be able to knock a couple grand off.. also there is a thread in the forum for checking VIN number via Nissan FAST, which will give you the correct answer in terms of spec.

may i suggest - Nice 2000 plus year V-Spec and add Naca Duct bonnet + VS2 Badge from justjap. use the rest of cash to go on a holiday.

Try to find the best "overall" condition car you can... in my opinion VS make sense more than base model, you get some nice goodies with VS for not much more money. but condition is more important than anything else.

Wow.... Love that cluster makes the Nismo one looks stock for some reason.

Feel your pain, i will be pretty pissed. If this happens to me. luckily mine is weekender only, although do get driven on the odd spirited drive. let us know what you end up doing and how much a standard build cost. everyone talk about big forged builds, but not everyone needs that kind of engine if your keeping it stockish.

Make sure you do a small review on this, i am after real world experience. Kick ass GTR By the way....

i bet the seat warmers come in handy in Vic - had 70th Anniversary in Qld, never really got to use the feature Nice car by the way, have not seen many V35 in that colour. - looks like R34 GTR Bayside Blue colour.

saw few of these so called Private sellers when i was looking for R34 GTR's - they will have same ad for long time in car sales and in fact are not selling even the car on the Ad.. when i called up the first answer is. we can import one for you with exact spec for even cheaper + compiled too...
