  1. 20% tint works a treat
  2. How big you want the injectors Marc? I have a NEW set of 570cc Siemens Deka injectors I probably wont be using, but need a 14mm O'ring fuel rail to fit them. Also 6 x 460cc S2 RX7 and connector plugs to suit that you can have real cheap. Your stock injectors are 375cc. "a full metal head gasket" Your gunna be sooooorrry! Where is your safety valve, for when you detonate for lean out, or a bad dose of fuel, or whatever? D.
  3. Am I missing something here? To me it doesn't matter a toss where the chain is mounted because the timing marks are on the sprokets, not the chain. The chain is simply the tool that connects the 2 (camshaft & crankshaft sprokets) together. I'm using an Kameari hardened chain & Kameari adjustable chain tensioner and I can assure you, there is no shiny links in the Kameari chain whatsoever, not even the joiners. And the timing marks must be set with the engine at TDC on #1 cylinder. D
  4. As I said, there was only one cross flow head made for the L series and it just happened to be made DOHC. It was not factory, it was made by OS Giken in Japan for the GT class & US racing classes similar to the 280ZXT's driven by Bob Sharp & Paul Newman. This you tube link is the best I can do. It was a TC24-B1 head. D
  5. Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm? What part of "Only one" did you not understand???????????
  6. Only one! OS Giken made it for the race 280ZXT's & they were DOHC as well and I haven't seen one since the very late 80's. And parts for them are no longer available. D
  7. Have you got a picture of your hub set up & how you connect the steering to the end of the strut? D
  8. That's interesting Nigel, Stewart Wilkins thinks the same way and I have an A cam here for future testing, but for now, I'm building an L28et with some fairly wild cam timing, trying to produce sh!t loads of Torque as opposed to mass HP. I'm going to use a cam in the 256 degree bracket plus a vernier cam gear. D
  9. Hi All, This has nothing to do with Skylines but fun to watch. I'm having a bit of bother with my factory alarm in my Jackaroo and asked the 4WD forum if they had any answers and this was one of them. I thought very amuzing ........... enjoy! "Get rid of all that electronic crap and get one of these" I wonder how much it would cost? Cheers, D
  10. If you need front timing case gaskets, I have a sh!t load of them. Cost you about $5 + postage D
  11. About $682 and change if you pick them up from his Melbourne warehouse. I got jumped all over when I suggested getting parts from Japan as opposed to buying them new from Cazz for the DR30 ................ but, What price do you put on CANNOT BE FOUND IN Australia, near IMPOSSIBLE to get? I think the cost is reasonable for what they are, if they are what you want. Remember it is the only source for our classic cars. I paid over AU$120.00 for a Paul Newman badge and thought it was a bargain, because I couldn't find one anywhere. Cheers, D
  12. That sounds cool, thanks! If you can pack it up for me, probably in one of those large, or extra large post bags and send me a PM with your bank details and I'll transfer the money online if you like, or post it COD. Whichever your happiest with. Thanks, Dennis
  13. I don't know if this would be an answer to your problem, but would a spacer between the strut base and the steering arm change the angle enough to cure your problem? Cheers, D
  14. That rear diff cover was from the FJ20 JDM S12 or Z18 S12 from memory, but you can get a similar thing off the later model short nose viscous diffs for under $100 on ebay
  15. Response from Toperformance for interest sake! The part numbers quoted are from all over the place, so I cannot say what the resulting heights will be, as the car/spring combination is not recorded in the data base. It would seem to me that the final spring fitted to the front might be a bit underdone in initial rate, allowing the car to crash onto the bump stops, but this is speculation on my part. Be interesting to see how it handles on the weekend at your competition day? Cheers, D
  16. Moral of this story is "don't be married" lol Somebody please explain the benefits of marriage (says me after 23 years) when you can just go to the library instead of owning the book. D
  17. I bounced your current set up off Toperformance in Melbourne, so it will be interesting to see what their opinion is eh? If it's not what I want, I will be doing something similar I guess, but I'll get some springs made by Allsprings at Liverpool and at my specs. Thanks, D
  18. Rick, Once there in the Melbourne Warehouse, it wont be all that expensive to get them freighted to Brisvegas. You have a few options and Skinnydog Freight is the cheapest. For all those uninitiated a skinny dog is also a Greyhound. Just have to get them to the Melbourne Depot and I'm sure Aaron would be only to kind to assist. I have bought heaps in from Japan using Import Monster & although sometimes things are often expensive, combining the freight to Oz is always the best way, particularly with smaller items coming EMS. Cheers, D
  19. Chris, Can you do a measure of ground clearance for your latest spring combination? Cheers, D
  20. Slide the cam out of the towers & check the code stamped in the back. If it's a C you have the best cam you can get for your car, be better if it was a manual, but such is life. If you want to upgrade your carby to twins, try to source a manifold & then source the twin SU's off the Triumph 2500TC. The 2500TC SU's are 1 3/4 as opposed to the 1 1/2 on the 240 & 260Z's. They might be a bit sluggish off the line, but mid to top end will be exemplary. Cheers, D
  21. This might be worth a look as it's down your end of the country. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Datsun-240z-260z-28...=item2ead3bb193 D
  22. It would be a very good idea to change the cam when you're changing the head. That's why I suggested the cam change. Out of interest, what cam is in the E88 head you acquired? Cheers, D
  23. I have just gone through a similar exercise on my PNV. I have King low KDFL-14 in the front & 240Z standard KDRS-09 in the rear. It's still on stands so I don't know how it's going to sit on the road yet. D
  24. Which front Koni's did they fit Chris?
