Please Reccomend A Tyre
central coast person replied to GTRAAH's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Falken 452's are used by a some guy in drifting comps. Aussie tyres on the central coast sponsor him with those tyres. Somthing like 75% off but he cant afford them now so he is using cheap nexen 2000's (stay away from that crap) -

Yes i have always used (°C) = (K) − 273.15 I thought 8000K was about 1100 degreess celsius???? Anyway, i dont think you should get HID's because like everyone says here they shine in peoples eveys and that means the placement of the bulb is totaly incorrect pissing you and everyone else off. You will have to do a r33 GTR S3 front end conversion too have some good H.I.D's happaneing -
New Exhaust Time For R33 Gtst
central coast person replied to Fry_33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
(Skline01999)If you dont mind me asking, have you had your Db ever tested on the system??? Apparently it should sit around 92Db on a regu 06 which is about 12Db more than the Kakimoto R and seeing its on my NA i should be a bit louder but like i said the muffler does quieten everything down very well and if i had a regu 06 it would be way over the 92Db mark. -
Series 2 Vs Series 1 R33 Front End
central coast person replied to gach2's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
experience right here. You will need a S2 front bar S2 re enforcement bar Grille Bonnet Headlights YOU DO NOT NEED FRONT GUARD (they are exactly the same S1 and S2) If you are doing it with a r33 S1.5 (1995 model, without fog lights) you also need the fog light stalk, fog relay and you have to change the connector plug into the indicator/fog light unit as the non fog light plug is too small. (The car is wired up for foggies no matter what model, its the blue wire out of the 3 wires going into the indicator/fog lights) Thats all you need mate -

It can come down to your modifications, being turbo you are blessed and have no drone like a NA using a cannon like i said may encounter drone in my last thread once i recongnised it was a turbo (disregard most of the ones before that last on) ........... Pretty pointess restricting your system to a 70mm Kakimoto R Regu looks awesome by the way, i didnt notice the titanium looking tip -
How To Tell Which Series Rb25de?
central coast person replied to TurboDoseBro's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Just like MAD082 said the TPS is a dead give away. The S1 is just one big fat plug and the S2 is a dual plug -
Please Reccomend A Tyre
central coast person replied to GTRAAH's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Falken 452's They are ussualy $275 per tyres and average a wet rating of 4.7 out of 5 & a dry rating of 4.6 out of five if you look around on the bnet at tyre forums and review sites. They are not a slick, they are a performance tyre (although my be labeled a wet weather tyre) designed for wet weather driving & street/light track. They are the compeating tyre too the toyo proxy T1R. Best thing about them is they never lose traction unless you come into a corner doing 140km with your foot on the brake!!! Worst feature is noise and they average 30,000km but its very good as the tyre is a EXTREAMLY soft rubber. These tyres are great for street driving and i have never ever had my slip light come on in the wet and on track are great for light work. -

Sorry Mr forum Warrior Sensai I know that Kenvin is a unit increment of temperature so dont jump out with somthing you think you know your going to confuse the thread starter Back on toppic, Your hallogen lights are hotter than a H.I.D but the smaller bulb of the hallogen is placed to far back in the balsiter of the headlight to burn anything or even worry about its heat, just get your normal 55watts and you will be sweet, H.I.D kits are often a problem becaues the bulb is too large for the headlight and being so close to the lens because of the unit with a higher kelvin of about 8000k or so it means instant burn marks on the inside of the lens. I really think they are not worth it man but if you really want them so bad then just get 5000k or 6000k I would rather S3 R33 GTR lights brand new from Nissan for $1200 -
New Exhaust Time For R33 Gtst
central coast person replied to Fry_33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
AWW man totaly forgot about the turbo being there haha In that case your looking at N21307 (The regu, which is nice but you will have a put a resinator somewhere because you will most likely encounter drone) Another Kakimoto that comes built for a skyline is the Kakimoto Racing Full Mega N1, seeing as its rated at 93Db and the regu 06 is 92Db there isnt any volume difference, just the mega N1 has a resinator instead of muffler to eliminate drone. other than that man Fujitsubo is the way -

New Exhaust Time For R33 Gtst
central coast person replied to Fry_33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Sorry mate, i have no camera at the moment as my misses has it at the moment and i wont see her till friday. Its shiny, has a kakimoto logo plate spot welded onto muffler tip, the tip is 4.5" large. A high quality stainless steel so it does not change colour or rust (been a year since on). Very quiet exhaust, is about 87Db at its highest peak, and normal driving just a deep bass tone. Pretty large centre muffler which is why its so quiet. High flowing and street legal so you get the best out of a exhaust. Once its installed the tip is angled up very slightly and sticks out level with the stock rear bar. Cost for me was $750 + $22 for Kakimoto exhaust gaskets and about $90 fitting if you cant fit it. I found another picture but someone has taken out the centre muffler, Probily because it make the system really quiet but with it off its would be a awesome flowing cat back. -
HMM very unfortunate news duncan. The only caues of ping in an engine is either high comp, too much advance or over heating and seeing as hills just tested your car i doubt any of that is the case leaving the only other culprit of engine ping too be fuel octane level. Definatly somthing sus there ......... I saw a news arcticle about 2 weeks ago where there are 'fuel police' and recently have been hired to a much larger number than before. They go around with mesuring and testing devices and test about 50 servo's a day. Maybe look them up and ask them for a favour if they are around that area??? Personally i havnt had a problem with fuel as of yet, i try sticking to the highway servo because i feel the fuel is more fresh.

New Exhaust Time For R33 Gtst
central coast person replied to Fry_33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I would defiatly say kakimoto are the best exhauts going around but are such a hefty price. I have a kakimoto R and they have a large centre muffler that only gives off sound at high RPM and its a VERY deep bass grunty sound and is not very loud at all which is good too keep cops away. Also its a rear muffler and not a common cannon so the cop wouldnt look twice at it. Its also a high flowing exhaust so its a ok for street performance skline01999 said he get resanation with the kakimato regu 06 its basiclly a Kakimoto R but instead a rear muffler its got a cannon thats all and yeah any skyline with just a cannon always gets resanation =\ Look into Kakimoto! -
Rb25det Not Running Healthy
central coast person replied to RBceffy25's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
We had a car come into work the other day that sounded like a chopper/giant lawn mower and it had a compleatly stuffed head, headgasket and cracked exhuast manifold. Its cost using genuine brand new parts was 2.2 grand. You should definatly look at your exhaust manifold to check that it has not cracked but the crack on the car we had was hairline and could not see it till it was at temp or taken off the car. Thick muddy looking coolant is contamination with oil so i can only assure you, yeah your headgasket is gone. I recomend taking the head off. Changing a few gaskets while your changing the headgasket, using a compleatly reconditioned heads and make sure all your valve set up is ok ie seats and springs etc etc are in good condiction also the shalfs. If you do the work yourself It would be about $300 for a stock gasket kit, using your recondictioned head and parts $free and exhaust manifold stock 2nd hand about $100 ^^^Thats budget Labour could be around $800 to take your head off and put it on if you supply the parts. -

Also you many have a problems using 8000K + i have seen peoples headlights melt because they are such a hot light. Skylines healights are only plastic not glass or of high quality plastics like Merc and such. i know 6000k is safe but 8000k is a pretty hot light and they can melt the plastic in the headlight if your not careful with the Kelvin rating you pick. -
What's Wrong With The R33?

See a center consul for a r33 with the stupidly shallow cup holder. It also have a little metal bracket the fips up to hug the upper part of the cup -
Rb20de Mystery Hoses Help
central coast person replied to chartoo's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
i cannot see your charchol canister ... ??? Those 2 lines should run into a charchol canister from emmision laws. obiously you dont need them but by law they should both run into the cannister. -
Yes a list that goes out the front door, i wish i had a file saved im my brain that could show up with a press of just a button but i dont. People spend $100,000-$200,000 on well made track skylines.Just depends on power. 400kw is sensible and you can keep most of those parts stock asuming your are upgrading bits on the parts suseptible to breaking. $50,000 would build you a good track car seeing a reliable 400Kw on a rb25det but then again the top end will take a absolute beating. To many variables too go into overall. I just sugest studdying the parts of engines and you will learn what does what and what is needed and what breaks etc etc. After all your price range is whats possible
