  1. What was the extra $30k damage that your mechanic has said about? I believe if the cost of the repair is more than 60% of the value of the car, then the insurance company consider it a write off. You should call your insurance company and tell them what your mechanic has told you.
  2. I think the copper ones most ppl use are BCPR6E, gapped to .8 if running above stock boost and .11 if stock boost.
  3. You can get the LED kit from Dan, they are much brigher and I can actually see the icons on the button in the dark now. you need to use a dremel to grind away a bit of the clear plastic diffuser.
  4. My nismo fuel pump is on the way, do I need a new fuel reg to accomodate it? If I need a new fuel reg, which one should I get and do I need to do any kind of adjustments to it?
  5. Can't imagine how carbon fibre parts around the crumple zone can be legal.
  6. The best way is probabaly just trial mount it 1st using sticky tape/double sided tape or somthing to see if the position sounds good. Then start drilling...
  7. You are looking for dry solder joint (the silver spikes coming out of the PCB that are loose). In particular the plug pins that are soldered onto the PCB. If the solder joint is 'dry'. i.e. loose because the solder is getting old. Then it will disrupt the signal, causing the motor arm to become stuck. So you basically need to 'reflow' the solder by applying a hot soldering iron to the dry solder joing and at the same time, add a little bit of fresh solder. Good as new again.
  8. Adjust what? You CAN NOT adjust the spring rate as that is the actual stiffness of the spring that came with the shocks. What you CAN adjust is the damping rate, if you got one of those shocks with the adjustable damping rate dail on top of the shock. If you have really stiff springs, say 10kg spring, no amount of damping is going to be able to compensate for the harshness. To find out what spring rate your current coilovers have, go to http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sp...Are-t79157.html and follow the instructions. Btw, when I said 6/5...etc. I mean 6KG spring for the front coilovers and 5KG spring for the rear. Not the damping adjustment dail on your coilovers, if you got those.
  9. yep.. mount it so they are somewhat facing you. When I mounted my tweeters on the door cards in my old car, they sounded like crap.
  10. Check your plugs heat range, check oil level. Check radiator, How's your oil pressure? Could also be a blown head gasket.
  11. Ok, I think my electronic boost controller (HKS EVC3) is connected slightly incorrectly in my 32GTR. On the manual it says port 1 needs to be "Connected to an uninterrupted intake manifold pressure source after throttle body such as compressor bypass signal line" Then it also says "Do not connect Port No 1 to the line that operates the fuel reg unless instruction supplement specifically direct you to do so" Currently my Port 1 is T'd into the vac line which operates the fuel reg, which is obviously incorrect, although car seems to run fine. Any one knows a better source I can tap into on the RB26? Also, the inline M4 paper filter thingo seems slightly dirty, any one knows a suitable replacement I could use? I know its not required, but I would still like to run the filter just in case. Thanks guys.
  12. Best setting (front/rear) for street is about 6/5, 6/4 or 5/4 . Anything stiffer will most likely be too harsh, especially for jap spec coi0lovers.
  13. Might be your clutch. If you disengage the clutch while the car is moving, is the sound still there?
  14. R34 for looks and performance R35 purely for performance, don't particularly like the looks R32 for looks and performance, 2nd after the R34 R33 is my least fav. Out of all of them, R34 GTR would be my fav.
  15. It was alright. Love the bit where the R35 blitz'd the lap time against all the other cars. Was this the 1st episode? I hope they do a full length on the R35 GTR soon.
  16. I got a pandora battery. Flashed my PSP slim to m33 and it works beautifully. You can basically download gams and load them onto the memory stick and load them straight off it. Can also run emulator to play arcade games as well. Don't have much time to play with it now thou. If you are in sydney and need a hand unbricking hand, send us a PM.
  17. any updates on this? I'm interested to know the outcome.
  18. After interior trim for the rear (quarter window and the lower bit), much be in unmarked condition. Available?
  19. I believe the lack of lambda sensors will only make your car run rich, not lean.
  20. - Run a diagonostic code from your ECU. - If you suspesct its the AFM, open it up and check for dry solder joint (there is a guide in the DIY section) - Check sparkies, Coil Packs - Check fuel pump
  21. Probabaly about 500 bux for just the rims, 600 with tyres.
  22. Anyone know where can I get a pipercross panel filter for the stock 32GTR airbox? Skyline isn't even listed on their website, is there another compatible model I can use? Thanks.
  23. Probabaly the CV joint
  24. oh.. in that case.. better call the wrecker.. They'll probabaly have some broken coilpacks lying around.
