  1. Probably coil packs, but maybe spark plug gap. Bad globes , bad fuse, or dodgy stereo install using a loom wire as a earth.
  2. rwd is only good for warming up the tires b4 runnning the 1/4
  3. Keep it NA... VH41DE (Nissan 4.1L V8) would be a much more fun alternative
  4. Front pipe first. Wait till you upgrade turbos, then change dumps at same time.
  5. Everyone has moments of weakness, can't say what you did is any different to what I might do in the same situation. You were just unlucky to have a police vehicle behind you.
  6. Congrats on the new born Mike, I think you'll be one of the few ppl that will actually make use of the GTR compliance child restraints
  7. They've been resprayed... i've seen a 32 in this lovely colour. I beleive the bayside blue colour was mixed specifically for the 34 GTR (only later 34R model??)
  8. Don't forget to chuck some pics up in the WA Show & Shine section
  9. damn toyota fan boys
  10. Wiring is the easy bit(but time consuming), making it fit nicely on the dash is another matter... who here is brave enough to hack their dash like this guy did?
  11. Welcome mate! Can never have enough GTRs around, esp. 34s picsorban
  12. That pic is of a guy from HK, this is his thread on how he did it: http://www.hkskylineclub.com/new/forum_pos...;PN=1&TPN=1 Its probably the most comprehensive MFD conversion thread out there.
  13. $22K is very doable for a 34, just don't expect to find anything but auto's for that price... but the Aussie dollar is getting stronger against the Yen, and the 34 is getting on these days, therefore they get cheaper with time... so anything is possible As for mileage, most car yards consider 10-20K a year to be 'average', so an 8 year old with 93K is quite good/under average km, but condition of car is always the best indication anyway. All the import companies listed above by R33-GTS are well established and reputable, with my own 32 GTR being imported thru Imports 101, who outlined the whole process for me so I wasn't in the dark. Good luck,
  14. 1K was for complete install & tune. Good luck finding a modded Power FC for less than $1200, and then you still have tuning to worry about. NIStune > PFC, as long as you can deal with not having the wank factor of having a hand controller.
  15. Alpine 9887 ftw! R-types are good(I've got splits up front, coax up back), but I think you'll need a spacer for the 6.5' speakers, the r-types actually come with some, but I can't remember if they were enough to clear the frame or not, mainly because I already had mdf spacers in there.
  16. Maybe the GTR is in limp mode due to these faults?
  17. Out of curiosity, would you say this is better/worse/same as going the rewired 300zx(or RB20) with Nistune? Obviously running NIStune as a real time tuning would be better than going down the emulator road, but would a chipped rb25 ecu be better than a rewired 300zx ecu?
  18. Nah, hes just had GTR rear guards put on, its still got non GTR front.
  19. I've got a spare 32R front bumper(silver), it was replaced under insurance due to some tosser reversing into me. Its still in one piece, just needs new paint and maybe smoothing. No bottom lip, but places like JS Auto have copies of genuine & aftermarket lips. Genuine Nissan was in the ball park of $500 for bumper + $400 for lip (both unpainted of course).
  20. Wow thats interesting, thats something I wouldn't of thought they would bother with. Still there is a solution on that link SevenAngryPenguins posted that still allows you to reap the reward of upgrading the cable to suit the new, higher load, with a different fpcm.
  21. For those that wish to DIY... I just bought a loom extension from grid.jp to suit my GTR for a similar purpose... I was putting off the idea of hacking the loom, I was glad when I found this: http://www.grid.co.jp/en/prod/prod582.htm Extension loom cost under $150 inc. postage and took less than a week.
  22. Wrong, if done correctly with a relay, fuel pump turns on and off as per normal. Bearing in mind that fuel pump is always running while car is running, hot fuel problems are usually cause by overkilling the fuel pump flow. Nismo pump is a very good option as it is plug and play... but bear in mind the Nismo pump is a Bosch 023 pump. Pump noise is either because it external mount, or incorrectly installed, or both. Bosch is OEM for a great number of manufacturers.
  23. True, its harder to tune the ITB setups, but not impossible, theres gains to be had by keeping it... mainly response.
  24. Drop if its a GTR, my spring tension is a little high on clip, so I drop it from a little higher than most recommend, 5-7in is about right for me. Its funny when you go to lift a non GTR bonnet, its so damn heavy in comparison you think its still locked
