Did you go the V44 'plug in' or the Wire-in unit?

Well i had a power fc before and went to the Vipec system as did a few of my friends and they all recommend it. Got rid of my afm's and gain power all across the rev range with the Vipec, aswell as much smoother idle etc. my other car has a Haltech e11v2 and the Vipec is on par. And for $1600, why wouldnt you??

Sorry to here the bad news kevin. I live in St. Albans and work in Sunshine and yet to have any problems. It's just a random thing.. not necessarily because were from Sunshine etc. But its sad theirs idiots out there that have no morals who pray on the innocent.. but with their lifestyle they live it won't be long before they turn up dead in a creek

If my GTR's all painted up by then, i'll definatly come along... Pity its only like once a month means its gonna be packed out everytime.

Yeah its the 4th gear syncro, have the same problem on mine and seems to be very common on the gtr's. Theres no way of fixing it other than replacing box or the gears.

Mate any car can have rust... Your saying they come from factory with rust? Like i said i've seen R32's been fully stripped down with no rust. Heck i dare say My r33 didn't have any rust either, as it was stripped to a bare shell aswell. Even my 1985 Toyota AE86 didn't have rust and the known to rust. In japan they put bags of salt on the roads to dissipate the ice, therefore it can lead to rust and most of the cars imported have been sitting for long periods of time. I know alot of r32's have rust, as did mine. But you can't say they all have rust. I'm willing to put money that most of the 100 or so Aus delivered GTR's have no rust... it's all about climate, and how people store/treat their cars. I got 320awkw in my R32 GTR running a q45 afm with a 'yellow sticker on it' and it was fine...but have since gone Map sensor.

Yes just had another look it does have a breather I thought about using the stock filler neck, but the sparco fuel lid opening is quite small, so i can't fit my hand inside to remove fuel cap...if you get what i mean. It should be straight foward to get it all fitted, just trying to remove the the stock filler is a problem.

Mine had a bit of rust aswell, but their wasn't holes or anything just abit on drivers rear guard.. but i got it bead blasted out. I don't believe all GTR's have rust, thats rubbish in my opinion. Its all based on negligence and how they have been stored etc. Ive seen many R32's fully stripped down for a full build up with not a speckle of rust.. Its the luck of the draw i guess.

Thanks for the info. I don't quite understand what you mean about mounting the standard neck in the guards could you elaborate? As for the breather, had a look at it and it doesn't seem to have one? But there is a little bit of play in the cap itself so i'm sure it can vent that way.
