  2. Are you affraid of a group of boys in carparks??? That video Daz was awesome...
  3. He didnt jump... Police talked him out of it... We had a good view from fairfax's office with a telescope...
  4. wish i never sold my last one...
  5. under the very first option on the avcr is number 1:boost/duty duty = gain apexi call it duty and everyone else calls it gain sorry about that sandy, i kept thinking gain as its the more common termoniligy
  6. so i never used the scramble function as never needed it and i never used the self learning modes... I always used mode number 1.Boost/Duty So just to get a base line, reset the unit and start from scratch... Set the Bst value to 1.05kg/cm2 and set the gain to about 10 Then go for a drive and watch you separate boost gauge and see what happens... If it comes on way to hard and too fast for you drop the gain down, if it takes way too long to get to full boost then turn the gain up a bit (little changes like 3-4 at a time) Once your happy with the gain and the way the car boosts then adjust the kg/cm2 value up of down (once again in small changes) until you hit the sweet spot... Just remember a high gain will cause boost spiking as the valve in the boost solinoid will bounce and create boost spikes, so keep the gain value as low as possible without loosing performance and thrill...
  7. Well yes it could be out of balance but many have done this before you and have not reported any issues. You will notice with any intercooler install that you decrease air flow to the radiator and of course the air passing out of he back of the intercooler with be hotter than normal. I personally had no issues with heat on my R31's or R33's after doing FMIC's it makes very little difference. Remember with cooler air entering the engine it can actually produce less heat (depending on how rich the tune is)... In short every car is different and most importantlly there are many variable factors when trying to answer a question like this. Your radiator could be either good or bad condition which will effect the cars temp more so than an FMIC install... Just keep your eye on it, and if it starts getting too hot then look at getting a full radiator flush. If this does not help then upgrade the radiator to a newer alloy unit. The fan behind he radiator only really does it job at speeds lower than 20/30kph, anything higher than that and the force of cool air entering is higher flowing than the fan can ever produce... Posy up a pic of your front end now the FMIC is installed, maybe you can afford to create some more space for air to flow also...
  8. You pretty much summed it all up there... But yeah the answer you may be looking for is "how much power can i make on a standard bottom end for a long time" The answer to this question is much easier to answer, considering you do all the supporting mods a stock bottom end can pump out 250rwkw all day...
  9. AVCR's are great once you have a base line... If its spiking all over the shop that means your gain is set way to high... lower both values on the avcr and then just increase the base line until you have good gradual control over the boost... then just adjust the value until you get your desired 15psi, always trust a separate boost gauge tho dont realy on the avcr to tell you wants going on... atl, have a google for an english manual and it explains boost spiking and gain setting much better than i can
  10. Jesss where do we start... so you have no power/boost when you drive now... What about any noises that were not there before??? have you looked over the little vac line that goes to the actuator on the turbo and made sure it has not just popped off??? if intercooler piping pops off you'd know about it as the car would run like a dog on 2 legs in a greyhound race... how much smoke you blowing? did the smoke increase now that the car does not make power???
  11. You can also post your list in the "wanted to buy" section and let people come to you...
  12. Ohhhhh shes beautiful...
  13. if you guys want a cheap helmet just rock into your local bike shop... you should be able to get a approved open face helmet for less than $80...
  14. ohhh, will have to get the old coffee hat out hey...
  15. i made 332rwkw all day every day on a 3" exhaust, but a 3.5 would have been better... i just wanted to keep the noise down a bit...
  16. hence why i said dont drive around on it too long or under load... just plug it in start it up and drive casualy to your tuner, done...
  17. intercooler and plenium left now
  18. might wanta pm 'mafia' as he lives in Mackay and has a 300rwkw+ R33 running a GT35 he had all sorts of trouble tuning his car up there... i remember him saying some thing about methnol injection due to a lack of 98ron fuels and the humidity... im fairlly sure he did a bit of his own tuning with a pfc and datalog kit... he obviouslly sorted it out in the end, so send him a pm and im sure he will be able to point you in the right direction...
  19. might wanta try this question in the "forced induction" area of the forum you will get a much faster responce than anywhere else also check out the sticky thread at the top of the "forced induction" area as there are a million turbo combos and there is great info and comments in those threads. just pick your engine type grab a bowl of popcorn and you will be blown away with the abundance of info, trust me... moved
  20. everytime someone says "hot chick" i can only think of this
  21. You can do it now if you want, but if your going to get a turbo and injectors right round the corner may as well save the $300-$500 on tuning until you got it all ready... But hey if we are talking 6 months til you do that then you may as well go get it done now, you will be supprised how much more you can get out of a stock setup with just a pfc over the standard ECU... As for installing the pfc it self, do it youself it takes 5-10 minutes to actually plug it in and then 10 minutes of the car at idle then 10 minutes with the car at idle and the A/C on, and your ready to drive it to the tuner. Just dont drive it to Sydney and back on base maps thats all, the maps are safe to drive on just dont load it up or drive for weeks on it like this...
  22. You have ot seen flys until you have been to cloncurry...
