Its a Suzuki GSXR1300 Hayabusa Anyone els ride?

so optimax extreme has its benefits when its properly tuned to it. Doesnt ethanol also acts like a detergent? i was thinking if i run optimax extreme all the time wont it wear out the cylinder walls and other compnents?

But its not all the time, happend twice over 100 knocks...

They sound awsome, mine sounds like a jet taking off. BTW how do you clean them? Since its a dry type, unlike K&N and BMC?

So whats normal knock numbers?

Before i bought the car i asked the guy what fuel it was tuned too, and he said Shell Optimax 98. So i try to fill up with shell all the time. I noticed when i fill up with 98ron fuel sometimes the pfc indicates it knocks. Last time i seen it knock was 195, i have seen it up to 200. So i decided to fill up with Shell Optimax Extreme 100. Since i filled up it hasnt knocked at all (About 12-15 knocks). Since Optimax Etreme is ethonol based for higher octane, for long term use would it be safe? Cheers Anggi.

I learnt to ride on my dads 1985 GSXR750 when i was 15. Then when i got my licence, i bought my first bike a Kawasaki GPX250, it may look ugly but it was hell good on fuel! Then i bought a Kawasaki ZXR250, its better then a CBR250RR. Looks bigger, handles better, upside down forks etc. Then i got a 1988 Suzuki GSXR750 Slingshot (still got it). Then i bought my Suzuki GSXR1300 Hayabusa! Start with a 250cc bike cant go wrong. I have mates that dont have a bike licence but ride like a ZXR600 and a GSXR1000, and they are scared to turn! Master your 250, then move on to a bigger bike if your confident enough. Ride to your potential and not the bikes!

Yeah it is. It mostly happend when its on an incline.
