Hello. I have got a Nissan Silvia S14a and I have installed Tomei system 2 ECU time ago. Now I fear this Japanese ECU was mapped for Japanese fuel which is known that has higher octane levels then European. We have 98RON here and I think Japan has 102RON , right? So, I wonder whether anyone here has got this ECU running outside Japan as I know they are able for Skys too. Could This mapped ECU make my engine developing detonation?? They claim their ECUs are designed to avoid detonation, etc. Thanks.

Of course, I understand that point. I would need what do every read mean. I meant what does gauge "say" when it show 9-10 in scale, 14-15 , more than 15, etc. I need this info because my gauge works weird. It shows several A/F ranges withing a long run. Sometimes reads are from 9 to 15: 9-15-9-15-9-15. Then It shows reads from 12 to 15 related to revs and throtle, none below nor above this scale. Sometimes it only shows reads from 15 and above. I can see pictures in manual which show what do these reads mean but I cant read japanese words. I would also be very gratefull if anyone could tell me any online translator for these japanese style. Thx.

Hello, my name is Raul and I have got a Nissan Silvia S14 kouki. Australian mate has told me about this forum as I was requesting help in Silvia forums. I have just installed Tomei A/F (WIde band?) gauge but it seems I don't understand its reads and work..... I have got japanese version of manual but I can't really find how to translate it in inet. Could anyone help me in this issue? I have taken pictures of manual: I have installed sensor in downpipe, about 15cms far from Elbow.... I can't read any wires colour code in this manual so I need to know what's the function of every wire and their colour. I have plugged them and gaude runs, at least. I think these pages show how to read gauge info. I need to know this as my gauge has weird reads within a long run.It seems it depends of heat. Any help? Thx.
