Actually, you can be a cop faster than a tradie.... my mate is a cop. Was a courier before that. Low UAI, no qualifications, 6 months in the acadamy. But that is for Feds, not NSW.

Hey all, as stated, does anyone know mechanics that know RBs in Coffs? I'm sick of telling mechanics I own a Stagea and having them say "a what? nah mate, I don't want to touch that", or hearing that they'll "figure it out"...... Also looking for Coffs residents with nice lines/imports to possibly use as wedding cars in january.... Cheers guys, Tim

Unless you're running an oil-cooled only turbo, a turbo timer is a waste of time.... and money.

I reckon, that in the long run, better looking cars hold their value better. Now an rb20 is pretty easily replaced with a 25, but try and make a pig ugly 33 look like a 32..... sorry guys, but everyone know 32s are a way better looking car than 33s.....

Hey guys, I don't know if this is the right section or not, so feel free to move it if neccesary. Basically, I'm becoming involved with a local performance parts retailer, who's up to speed on old school v8 parts, but knows nothing about the import side of things. He's wanting to stock a large range of japanese parts.... turbos, coolers, electronics accessories etc etc. So we're looking for suppliers/importers who are looking for a new wholesale customer. If anyone has the contacts or can supply parts themselves, please PM me. Hey guys, There does seem to be a bit of info around on my probs, but nothing quite the same so I thought I'd ask you all...... I've got a Stagea RSfour, which seems to have a couple of little problems.... It hunts a bit when stopped in D, especially when going from R to D and vice versa. It also has a funny hesitation when taking off from a complete stop. It also seems to have a louder "turbo spooling" noise recently, although I did pull that sound deadening stuff out of the airbox recently, does this amplify the sound?... Is my turbo about to die? I may not have noticed the sound immediately as I just got a new stereo installed. I've already cleaned the AFM and AAC valve thingy at the back of the inlet manifold..... Any suggestions? I haven't had it for long and just want to get it running sweet. Thanks guys Tim

With the cost of importing, in two years time it probably won't be much cheaper..... I just bought a stagea, and the cost in total, on the road was about 10K, but the car itself only cost 2.3K...... so even half the price, you'd only save a bit over a grand tops. And loose time driving the car waiting for the price to drop.

+1 for J-spec.... Just got my Stagea a few days ago, and so far I'm absolutely stoked with it.... Cheapest S1 I've seen, and very clean throughout.... Also have to say that I'm very happy with Seaway/KIWI.

Just picked mine up from the highway (met the car carrier) not long ago.... S1, 147K standard rust under the mirrors, other than that, freakin sweeeeeeet! I haven't even driven it much, but I love it already.... frig they look tough for a wagon! I've only ever seen 2 in the flesh before this, and OMG its soooo f'in sweet. Can't wait to give it a good cut and polish..... It's only the second or third Stag in Coffs, so I've gotta make it something special! I LOVE IT!!!

Depending on how big the scratches are, either just brush touch it up, or get a pressure pack, some plastic primer and some clear. Practise on something else first.... If the colour is right, it's possible to get it virtually invisible on a bumper corner. If the colours even slightly off, it'll look sh#thouse so go to a specialist autopaint shop, ie not autobarn repco etc.... I've done this a few times for people and charged them good money for it..... and I'm not a professional painter. Pm me if you want some tips

Well, it's taken freakin ages, but supposedly my Stag is getting delivered today! It's been at compliance for ~4 weeks.... not their fault, dotars just took that long to get the paperwork back. Probably won't be able to get it blue slipped today, but hopefully on monday! For anyone elses interest, I paid for the car on the 18th of July, so it's taken about 3 months in total......

Try white spirits to bring the gloss up.... dunno bout the scratches.
