Very normal guys, but don't assume anything. Get it tested..... not worth stuffing your motor over.

Just normal black tint is usually metalised these days, most film/tint is, just the local dodgy brothers and supercheap sell/use non-metalised film.... reflective tint is completely illegal and if you get done for it you'll have to rip it off on the spot (if the glue hasn't crystalised yet) to even move your car.... stupid idea, blinds other drivers with sunlight, and cops will ping you for it in a flash.

I lived in Canberra a couple of years ago. Had my 32 parked in the security carpark under Brighton Apartments in kingston. Came down one morning and found the rear qtr window smashed, and the steering wheel ripped off.... the cheap-ass boss kit had sheared off.... and saved my baby from being nicked. They stole some cds, all without cases, but left the brand new $450 momo wheel....

The film (top quality) for a 4 door sedan costs the tinter about $70..... Pay anything over $220 you're getting ripped.

The tinter should be able to tell you what film they use and what uv blockout it offers.... just check it's a metalised film. Privacy glass is just coloured glass.

Ok, let's just say that skylines overall are great cars.... but a turbo RB will always be quicker and therefore more fun than an NA. Please don't start arguing about modified NAs with everything done to them.... forced induction = more power = more fun. They really are too heavy for a small capacity NA motor, so go for something a bit more exciting and lighter.... I might get flamed for this, but v-tec Honda's are fun and P-plate legal.... but I still say go the 1600.

Buy a datto 1600.... N/a but light, heaps of fun, easy to mod and you won't lose money on it. Buy a turbo (real ) Skyline when you can legally drive it. No offence to na drivers, just my 2c

Only prob with privacy glass is that it provides no UV protection at all.... interior still gets hot and fades quicker.

I just got a FPV Typhoon cooler I'm hoping to run the piping back through the smic holes..... when my car gets here. It's not huge, core measures 175h x 370w x 55d. I'm never gonna be chasing over 200rwkw though, and it cost me bit over $100.... piping shouldn't cost too much to get made up should it?

Just be careful with some cheap tinters. make sure you're getting good quality metalised film and a nationwide warranty. also inspect the job before you pay - i've seen plenty of shockers... bits of dust, hairs etc through it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I heard that with factory internals, the s2 can be pushed further than the neo because it has lower compression? Is this true??

Will let you all know how it goes.... even if it costs $200 to get it all set up and fitted, as Mad082 said, will still be cheaper than any front mount kit I've seen, and I shouldn't have to cut any metal.

Yeah prob should have, but it only cost me a bit over $100.... Some piping will have to be made up, I just didn't want to go cutting any holes in the engine bay. Here's a pic of it anyway.

Hey guys, just got hold of an intercooler off an F6 Typhoon.... Would this be a suitable upgrade for an RB25DET? Was keen on this because it's got the piping returning to the same side as the inlet, so I was hoping to use much of the factory piping. Anyone know the dimensions etc of these coolers (It's in the post so I can't measure it). Thanks, Tim.

Of course you can tint a sunroof. just cos it's safety or not, privacy glass or not, who cares. If it's smooth, it can be tinted.

I use dto live in Canberra, and would suggest to book your accomodation now... the closest F1 motel will prob already be booked out for over the nats, but most of canberra is easy and quick to get around, so almost anywhere isn't too far from EPIC..... Things to do apart from cars? The Zoo and Aquarium is actually pretty good - you can organise to pat a cheetah if your keen. There's also the National museum, War memorial, National Gallery and Science and Technology Center to name a few..... Try posting in the ACT section, the guys in Canberra have regular cruises and meets, and are all a pretty friendly mob.

I live in Coffs, so getting it trucked down after compliance. She's getting complied at Shogun (also known as something else.... can't remember now) and it should be about 12 weeks from when I made the first payment to getting it delivered..... can depend a bit on when ships are leaving etc.
