I know a tinter in Coffs, will charge you max 220 whole car (ie, 2 skyline, not bus) ost big name joints will charge you through the roof, and use the same film as the cheaper guys. If anyones interested, pm me.
Well, she's been at compliance for about a week now, so hopefully only another fortnight max..... I wish compliance didn't take soooooo looooonnnngg......
Cheers Richard. I was thinking that the actual mods wouldn't take long, but I didn't know how long the paperwork would take.... the workshop quoted about 2-3 weeks, so you're spot on with their estimate. Was hoping I could hassle them for being slack, but I guess it's reasonable. Just can't wait to get my bargain Stag!
Seriously, how much do you really save filling up with cheaper fuel.... a few dollars. Then take into account less k's from the tank of cheaper fuel..... if you need that $5 you saved that badly, maybe you should buy another car.
Don't buy an off the shelf octane booster, you might as well buy 500ml of toluene with some dye in it for $15.... call your local fuel depot, and make up some reason for wanting toluene/methyl benzene, ie cleaning engine block down etc..... 20l of it should cost you ~$45.....
When I lived in Canberra a couple of years ago, my 32 was subjected to an attempted theft from the security carpark under the units I lived in, in Kingston.... no security system, but they sheared off the boss kit trying to break the factory steering lock.... and left the $500 Momo wheel in the car.... cost me $300 to fix the Qtr window..
Just got a quote off Young and Cool (Famous), 28 years old, perfect driving record, max no-claim, insured for 18.5k, $960/year... I'm pretty happy with that.
I'd suggest getting some bulk methyl-benzine, aka toluene. mix approx 20% with fuel. Will burn a bit hotter, but should do the job, correct me if I'm wrong anyone....
Nice lookin stag mate... I actually checked out this one myself, but my missus wouldn't let me spend more than 10k on a new car.... so I bought the Dayz edition they had instead.... Service has been good for me too, except emails are a little slow to get replies to. Now the waiting.............
Been discussed before.... bit dangerous IMO cos you (unless you have an am boost guage) don't know what boost you're running.... also, what if you go too far. Guess it would be handy to have a spare bov sitting around
Just wanted to point out a perfect daily driver for someone on j-spec. 85 skyline with 16K on it!! I want it! Immaculate..... Hmmm, maybe I could buy an RB26 and slot it in.... http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/index.php?ID=10452
