  1. Will sell cheaper without rims too (BYO wheels).
  2. I'm pretty keen on getting an s15 at the moment. There are few i'm keen on on carsales which are below $20k so at this stage i'd probably be happy to take whatever it will cost to get me an s15. I do change my mind quite a bit so if you want to pick this up cheap, get in before i decide i'm after something more expensive.
  3. Hmmm... I'll be checking the bulbs in my new set!
  4. PRICE DROP! $21000 ono Also, i'm in the process of replacing the headlights (expensive suckers) so they'll be in excellent condition (Xenons).
  5. I'll get some tomorrow. The melted one looks normal, except for a patch about the size of 2 50c coins in front of the highbeams which is all white and melted looking. The passenger one looks normal except that it has moisture in it at the moment, and the bit where the lens and the backing attach has been siliconed up, and there's silicon around the backing of the Xenon. Pretty much the back looks normal except that you can tell that there have been attempts to seal it up.
  6. Nah, normal bulbs. f**ken weird hey? Maybe high beams are only supposed to be used when moving? Pretty pissed off. Just bought a new pair for $700... would've preferred not to have had to spend that though.
  7. Just bought a pair of headlights which should get here by the end of next week. I'll probably swap them over that weekend so the above items should be available then.
  8. For sale are a pair of r34 xenon headlights. Both are in working condition however: The drivers side one has a melted lens in front of the high beam (didn't realise that was possible). Otherwise in near perfect condition. The passenger side one has been getting moisture inside of it (judging by the silicon around it around there's been previous attempts to seal it up). Other than the moisture and the siliconed up bits, this headlight is in perfect order too. Both headlights are still in my car, but will be removed when i find a new pair. They also have "eyelids" attached... I've not yet looked at how they're attached and whether i'll be able to take them off. Once they're off i will dry out the wet one and seal it up properly, so pretty much that one will be good to go. The drivers side one would suit a Xenon conversion i guess... if the lens was replaced (or fixed?) it would be fine. These will not be available straight away but I'm pretty keen to get replacements asap so these should be available real soon. I think i have to give a price, so i'll say, ummmmm...... $500 for the pair??? Just make an offer hey? I'll get some pics up soon. They're located in Melbourne.
  9. I've been trying to get rid of moisture in the passenger side headlights of my r34 gtt. I let the car idle with the high beams on for about 10 mins yesterday and just noticed today that the the clear plastic on my driver side headlights has melted. I'm pretty pissed coz now i've got one headlight full of water and another that's melted. Has this ever happened to anyone else? How much would a set of headlights set me back and where can i find them?
  10. Swap for r34? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/363710-r34-gtt-260rwkws/
  11. Also... anyone wanna buy my car? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/363710-r34-gtt-260rwkws/
  12. I don't mind the look of some s13's... i think they tend to look better in the flesh too. s14a fronts look the goods but thats about it for the s14 imo. Performance wise would a similarly modded s13 and s15 be any different? I guess not worrying too much about looks (and not minding the look of an s13 anyway), if they were identical performance wise i'd choose the one that's half the price. Chassis wise is their much difference between the r32 and the s13? The r32 is a reasonably light car is it not? I kind of like the idea of starting with a cheap but solid platform then adding what i wish.
  13. Interested in a swap for a modded r34? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/363710-r34-gtt-260rwkws/
  14. Swappies? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/363710-r34-gtt-260rwkws/
  15. A few more pics... still from the phone though.
  16. The s15 does really appeal to me. Are they really that much different to an s13, especially once a couple of mods are thrown into the equation? An fd with an sr20 would be nice. I haven't really thought about the evo actually. How do they feel to drive? I've just got this innate belief that awd's would understeer.
  17. Which car should i choose? Background: My first decent cars was a 97 180sx when i was about 19. It was in great nick, with very minor mods (cat back, possible aftermarket suspension). I absolutely loved this car, and felt that it was the best handling car i could imagine. It was just so easy to feel in touch with, driving at it's limit a breeze. I owned a couple of very quick old school rotaries after that. They weren't like nothing else but weren't the best handler. Recently i purchased a really nice R34 gtt, with plenty of mods and pretty decent power.... but it just doesn't feel as pleasurable to drive as my old 180. So, i'm thinking about trying to find something a bit smaller, and i was just wondering if anybody could give me some good advice on which car might be best. I'm budgeting around $20k, and looks are not really a concern for me. It will be used mostly on the street, with handling being my main priority. At the moment my thoughts are: s13 +mods, s15 +some mods, fd rx7 +some mods, r32 +mods. How do r32's compare to s13's? Are they very agile/chuckable? Please try to be as unbiased as possible with your responses, preferably they'll be from experience too. I'm not really interested in "haven't driven either but would definitely go the skyline", etc.
