Hi there, Need to pick up some good gear box oil today. From reading the post's everyone says good things about Redline lightweight oil, anybody know where I can get some today? I work in North Ryde so anywhere close to that. Cheers Rob

Hi There, I currently have a 96 R33 gts-t, it seems to have a bit of black oil in the pipes eg. the pipes that connect the intercooler... From what I have been reading, people are talking about the turbo seals being stuffed, is this the case? I have never had any smoke out the back (always checking)... Is it a big job to fix? I also had my car back from a service and the mechanic noticed that an exhaust stud was brocken (from what I understand it was on the headers side, if that makes sense). Can anyone explain what this means, the mechanic told me I should have it fixed soon and it is a big job.... (3 months ago..) This leads me on to my next question, can anyone supply me with a company name/number (in Sydney) that would be able to fix these problems, and perhaps an estimated cost of what I would be looking at? And one more question, would it be worth it while the turbo is out, to have it high flowed??? Thanks heaps for your advice. Rob

Out of interest what would a stock R33 gts-t (96 series 2) roughly pull in RWKW's??? Would it be fair to say about 130-140 rwkw's? Cheers Rob

Thanks for the advice Steve, Did notice the rotors up the top looking a little scratched.... I thought that with slotted rotor's thats what stops them from getting dust build up... (slot's take that away...) Ohh well. Off come the wheels again.. Another quick one for you, you mentioned Advanced Bendix pads(I have just heard of them), are they better than Ultmates or which out of the two would you go for? Cheers ps. When you say emery paper, is that just sand paper 80 grit??

Hi Mate, I recently bought an Apexi Hybrid Intercooler second hand with pipes that T up withthe standard plumbing.. Very very happy with the results.. Is this what your refering to?? Cheers Rob

Hi Steve, Sorry I haven't checked the forum in a while (Answering your inital question).. I recently purchased some DBA slotted rotors and put some bendix standards on (front)... Works really well, much better braking and very happy (even tho it cost $580 bucks). I have recently started to notice when coming to a stop the front brakes sound like they are grinding on metal (you can even feel it thorugh the brakes....) really weird. Also noticed when braking lightly they squeel really bad (but I guess thats the pads..) If you brake firmly they really grip, it's just light braking sucks (from what I can see).. Also Steve can you recomend what type of brake pad I should run with the slotted rotors (DBA 926's)??? I don't drive on the track and occasionally brake hard on street.. Don't supose you have an answer for me? Cheers Rob

While were on the topic of gear box's... I have recently noticed my car crunches really bad when changing from 4th to 5th at about 90-100 plus k's.... It used to do it like at 150ks but not at 90-100... not impressed. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem quickly or is this a big problem? Thanks for your help on this. Cheers Rob

Hi There, I'm just about to buy some premium plates (white and black ones). It says they are slim size for the front, does anyone know if they fit into the standard R33 gts-t series 2 bumper (with out having to cut them or bend them?) What have people done??? Thought I would show you all my new Front mount Intercooler... Big thank you to Donnie for helping me install it... It's not big but big enough for what I need... it's black as well.. Quick question tho. Can anyone tell me why the fin's are designed so differently to most other intercoolers?? Cheers Rob

I Run 2 bleed valves... When I had my stock intercooler I ran 11 psi constant... (Entire car was stock). Never once did it spike didn't matter what the temp was. If you like I can dig around for a photo I took of the set up.... Cheers Rob

Hi There, I now have a quick question on brake pad wear. As I'm sure you will know the EBC brake pads have a small gap in the middle of the pad (dead centre). The gap does not go right the way through the pad.. Only reason why I'm asking is because I checked my pads this morning and it is basically one big pad with no gap in the middle. Does this mean they are due to be changed (as ther eis still heaps on pad left...)? Thanks for your help. Rob

Just been reading an article on brakes. Question: Is there any brand of brake pad that is better suited for slotted rotors or does it not really matter? Thanks in advance. Rob

On the topic of head lights. I'm not sure if mine are dirty or not, they look alright except at night when the lights are on, you can see heaps of little scrathes (really small ones but heaps of them), it's been like that since I bought it... Do you think Cut and polish will fix that??? Cheers Rob
