yeah thast true man, i prefer other people who are insured against that sort of thing to do it, becuase if they stuff it up you can recover costs. if you do it urself and stuff it up... well your up shit creek Beef

Hey lads, just wondering has anyone ditched their standard s1 or s2 rb25 turbo for a VG30 turbo...? apparantley they are the largest turbos nissan make and are awesome for rb25's providing about 380 hp on 15psi? so is anyone running one of these or have a heard a lot of lies...? Beef

If not who is a good tuner that i can go to to install and tune my new boost controller...? im puting it on an R33 gtst? does anyone sort of specialise in them? anyone know of a good tuner in launny? Im thinking Chris Colgrave or Fueltech... how about these guys? Beef

-
Hey LAdz, the reason i ask this is becuase i have a White R33 with some 18s and i hate the silver colour that they are, so i want to get them powder coated white.... what are your thoughts on white cars with white rims? Beef
-
As the title says, does anyone use this brand of oil, i have heard awesome things about it and im doing a change with the royal purple 10w40 tomorrow.... anyone else using it? any thoughts on this brand? Beef
-
its definitley 5w-50.... but u can buy 10w-30 aswell.... when is oil at its thickest? i never drive my car for longer than 50 mins at a time, i dont go on long trips.... so what would be better for me? im only ever doing little trips to work and stuff... never big road trips.. Beef
-
Hey ladz, just a quick question on what the actual difference is between these? and which one is going to be better for an R33 with around 100,000kms? Beef
-
As the title says im after some coil-overs (rears only) to suit an r33 gtst... they must be in good condition, they dont have to be spot less but as long as they work and are in reasonable condition they will be fine im in tassie and would prefer a tassie seller but i can pay shipping if i have to buy from someone interstate... it doesnt worry me, i just need some rear coil overs they can be new or 2nd hand, it doesnt bother me Contact me vis email at : [email protected] i will reply quicker if you send me an email rather than a PM Beef

oh ok, well i guess i wont be getting the Motul 300v then.... yeah i will be doing the filter too.... so your sure i need more than 4 litres.. i did a search and didnt come up with anything so i guess its Mobil1 Beef

Hey ladz, i am about to do an oil change on my car and i need to know how much oil i need 4 or 5 litres? the reason i ask is ecause i want to get the motul 300V but it only comes in 4 litre jugs, and i dont want to have to buy 2 of them... other wise ill just stick to the good old mobil1 anyone know how much oil i need for a full change? bEEF

2 Boost Gauges?.... Shouldnt Only 1 Be Working?
Beef replied to Beef's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
ok well if they are both reading wouldnt they be reading slightly less than what they should..... this is what im thining... becuase you have 2 sources from teh vacuum line wont the reading be a little wrong because the pressure is being divided into the two different gauges? why not just have one and remove the stock boost gauge and just block the tee that was using? wouldnt this give you a slightly more accurate reading if you only have one gauge feeding off the vacuum line? Beef -
Hey Ladz, just a simple question... when you buy and install an aftermarket Boost Gauge... where exactly should you hook it into and should your standard boost gauge stop working once it is installed? i have just had a boost gauge installed but my little stock boost gauge under my tacho still works..... should it? or has the guy installed it into the wrong place or something? Beef

im using Mobile 1, but it is 1000km overdue for a oil change.... im going to drain and flush all the Mobil1 and put in this new Penrite 5 fully synthetic stuff.... apparently that is the best oil around... so it may be better when i do the change.. so what should it be sitting on normally...? what is the consequence of the oil pressure being slightly higher than normal? damage? Beef
-
Hey ladz, just a quick question... where abouts should my oil pressure gauge sit? there is a point at 4kg/ and 8kg/ and one in between... about 6kg/ most of the time it sits on about 6kg/ but at idle sometimes it drops to the 4kg/ point and sometimes it may get a little bit above the 6kg/ point more towards the 8kg/ point... it never goes above or below the 4kg/ or 8kg/ point... so is it normal to dance in between depending on wether your at idle or on the highway or something..? any advice would be great. Beef

yeah, maybe your right... but my car makes 242kw atw... do i really need one? what is teh actual purpose of an Oil Catch Can? it was on there when i bought it.. Beef

um.... NO.. i went to that site and it is only for people wishing to buy dyno's... and you cant even access the FAQ's wouldnt it be easier just to tel us what it means .... rather than starting a f*kkin wild goose chase for answers...... so what does it mean... www.dynodynamics.com.au... DOES NOT GIVE US THE ANSWER... Beef
