  1. lol.... very sharp, strutto. typo error amended. it took me 5 secs to realised what you were talking about was wondering the same thing as well... glenn
  2. you the first owner? very nice looking car.
  3. Hi Guys, just got myself some RB74 from DBA and also, some printed instructions on how to properly bed the pads. The RB74s are notoriously famous for squealing but I had no problems with it after following the guide. Thought I share it with you all because I am pretty sure that its applicable to all new pads. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- BEDDING IN INSTRUCTIONS 1. Install disc pads and check fit. 2. Pump brake pedal until pedal is hard. 3. Perform 2 stops from 50Kph to 20Kph with medium pedal effort. 4. Perform 6 stops from 110Kph to 70Kph with high pedal effort. 5. Drive vehicle for 10-15 minutes at 70 to 100Kph without using the brakes to allow them to cool 6. Park vehicle and allow brakes to cool to ambient temperature. DO NOT STOP VEHICLE WHEN PADS ARE HOT DURING BEDDING. THIS WILL SEPARATE THE PAD FORM THE BACKING PLATE Bedding should not be performed until disc rotor has been bedded. The disc pads will smoke and smell whilst bedding. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- btw, the pads rock!! They grip very well and even after a very hard drive with equally hard braking involved, i hardly noticed any brake fade at all. cheers glenn
  4. i am looking to ordering some stuffs from them. love the flame thingy though. http://www.havealook.com.au
  5. he is one of our forum's guru :uh-huh:
  6. 'The Fellowship of the Lines' representing both cars and owners
  7. Merli - haha... your signature is cracking me up... how long are you planning on haunting the poor bastard?
  8. terry - i guess the result varies with the different types of gearbox oil. i had vmx80 with G70 in mine and it works great.
  9. Lisa would have been proud
  10. for my r32 GTS25, its around the 10L mark as well.
  11. justin - have you tried sunning your car for a couple of hours? it works for me when i got my tint done. same remarks from the guy as well about the demister lines and still did a great job.
  12. the car belongs to a 'stacey' ??
  13. i will ask my mate and let you know again
  14. go for the rustproof treatment. my mate's RX7 FC looked liked a sunken ship after just 1.5 yrs there... and its GARAGED most of the time!!

    Dyno day??

do we need to call and make an appt or just show up on the day itself?
  16. this has been covered many times. use keywords like 'psi' in the search. i got 36 in front and 34 in back. reason being the extra 2 psi in front is becos of the weight of the engine. hope that helps glenn
  17. too harsh dude... sometimes, this is the only way drivers learn and hopefully, no drastic consequences. No one is 100% perfect behind the wheel... even Michael Schumacher crashes his ferrari too....
  18. how about the 'my whole life was flashing before me' kinda feeling?? i had it on the 2nd day i got my skyline... 360 degrees spin on a wet 2 lane filter
  19. Harun, i'm in brisbane too. sorry to hear abt your lost. will keep a lookout for you. any distinct features (scratch/dent/etc) to your car besides the rims and FMIC? glenn
  20. may the force be with him
  21. hi michael, since you are in brisbane, you can pop by DMD and let them have a look at it. Its a safer option than doing it yourself becos advice you get in here might not work out so great for yourself, esp when it concerns the cosmetics aspect of your car. glenn
  22. yup, i was about to recommend a wheel alignment as well.
  23. Vmx80 + G70 = redline oil = but expensive the VMX80 takes a while to run in when you put it in the gearbox and i noticed that its highly effective only warmed up properly but like you, i did experienced some crunching when cold. when i added the G70, it became a whole lot smoother regardless of hot AND cold. dun you feel your arms muscles tightening up everytime you do the filler and drain plug?? i used the redline stuff in my diff instead.
  24. try using Nulon G70 instead. its great stuff! i had the VMX80 in mine but felt alot smoother with the G70 in it 3 weeks later. if that fails, then do the flush but i wouldn't recommend it though.
