This weekend I hope to have my Bora to a state where I can actually start it for the first time since October. The engine is empty at the moment, no oil. But theres a chance a little bit of coolant got in it. So, I thought I'd run a flush through the engine when I'm also flushing my cooling system. I don't want to spend a bajillion dollars on some super nice, thin, synthetic oil if it is going to be used for 15 mins tops. Will I do any damage using a cheap shit oil to idle the car for 15 mins? Also, as the car has not run for so long, should I pull the leads off and turn it over without spark to get oil into the head? Thanks guys.

How much is your premium? Lets assume it is $600 with a 50% NCB, bringing it to $900 with 0% NCB. (Very rough maths!) If you just pay the repair now, you'll have paid off the 1500 in 5 years of reduced excess. If you claim, you'll already be 600 down with your excess, plus 5 years to get back to 50% NCB, plus 5 years of increased premiums. I can't work that out, but I reckon this would be the more expensive option by far.

I study Buddhism in my (non existent) spare time. There is a solid belief going back a long time that the mind and body are one. This sounds like a simple belief but the West continues to treat them as separate entities. We need to believe more and prove less I think.

Less anger, less fights, less sickness, no (or little) hangovers. Its a no brainer to me. FWIW, I don't actually smoke pot. But, I am a big supporter of it. Also, once you ditch the marijuana stigma, countries can start working with hemp which is an amazing fibre that can do so much better than cotton and wool. Currently many countries don't allow hemp to be grown, even though its a completely different strain of plant compared with the THC-laden 'high' ones. But thats a post for another day.

I think a legal 'industry' is a good idea. Regulated farming, legal shops, similar approaches as California. Get dealers off the street BUT still give them the opportunity to work in the area they know. Regulated farming means better quality and more jobs. Shops means taxable product, similar to alcohol. I think its a great idea and would be a great new, highly profitable industry.
