The problem is, its very easy to go too far and the car can't be driven at low speeds because the throttle is so sensitive. So it takes a bit to find the happy medium. It has like 40 preset levels which is dumb. It also has an eco mode which is like the car is being pushed by 4 midgets.

Yep, thats exactly what it is. Just changes the signal.

'Controller' is probably a little too liberal. It alters your inputs to fool the throttle. It does enough for me, but yeah there are loads of aftermarket electronics out there. I have an MHD tune at the moment and it has some throttle stuff in there too and I'll investigate it eventually.

Yeah I'd agree with this. I have a throttle controller in the 335 and I've temporarily put it in the X5 and 330i and its pretty interesting how it can change things. That said, the controller doesn't remove BMW's "Driver adaptations" which is their way of manipulating the throttle based on what they "think" you want. I wonder if there is a DBW -> Cable conversion kit. 🤔 EDIT: I made the adaptations sound shit. They're absolutely not and BMW does a good job here, its just sometimes I'd like a bit more "direct" control.

Hi Christophe and welcome! Yep, as Duncan said there are lots of topics on the RB30 conversions. Where would you source and RB30 block though? Was anything delivered locally with this engine? Car looks great!

If you join online and do the time trials they pay a lot! I'm getting 1M credits weekly by getting silver in the time trials. 2M for gold (which is far too difficult for me).

I'm kinda outside my comfort zone here but is there any english Infiniti models that have the same screen? You could at least get english this way even if not the sat nav. Otherwise you could still consider getting an android one. The one I have in my E90 is actually pretty good. I just use Android Auto on it and if I want to I can display live data from my OBD2 dongle. (That said, don't buy a no name one or one with not much memory, I had one before this that was absolutely terrible and thankfully I was able to get a refund)

EDIT: Ok, I see the brown wire goes outside the housing. So, 2 more q's - can you find a relay or switch? And, is there even a terminal to connect the brown to?

Plug a bulb in and see if you get what you need with just red and black. I can't see where the brown wire goes. What is it connected to? See if you can trace the red (and black maybe) into the engine bay and check for a relay or do the wires go straight to the switch?

Tried to get up my mother-in-law's driveway on the weekend, its a very tight turn into a very steep ramp and I couldn't do it. The passenger side just spun and spun and I had to leave the car down the bottom and walk up. This will be a great test after I install the LSD conversion.
