  1. Holy smokes. There you go! Thanks for that. The problem with the quotes, both single and double, is when used unencoded, they will break 'a' tags... ie; <a href="http://mysite.com/check_out_this_"cool"_site"> - that becomes a link to http://mysite.com/check_out_this_ That is what is broken when you rely on the auto linking.
  2. Its not necessary as much as its an interesting figure for us to be aware of. The notifications 'tracking' is both anonymous and non-contextual, which means, this is what we see; No idea who clicked on what. Only that n% were opened and n% were clicked on. When you pay a fee just to handle the notifications from the board (we pay Mandrill) then its worth knowing if you're getting your moneys worth. Hope that clears things up?
  3. Hey guys, Thanks for the feedback, will definitely add contact details in future. Funnily, we sent *so* many tests to a select few people and we changed and tweaked and adjusted and there were still things we forgot! haha. Live and learn.
  4. A quote/apostrophe is not a valid url character and should be encoded. The search results on Wikipedia now have an encoded version of this link (I'm assuming somebody else noticed.) Encoded it looks like this; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Howl%27s_Moving_Castle_(film) But, if you really want to have the whole thing link, then paste it, highlight it and click the link button in the WYSIWYG editor. It can't auto link that because it see's the apostrophe as a break. Hope that helps?
  5. Typical Edward Lee's bullshit...
  6. Yeah the ad supplier has a strict no auto-play, no fullscreen policy also and they were already aware of it when I reported it. Definitely let me know if it happens again.
  7. Thread closed. Believe it or not, but since SAU started more than 7 years ago, this topic has been discussed before. Please use the search function in future. It may be found here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=search&search_in=forums While we understand that it can be frustrating to have your thread closed - Please consider that other members may feel it to be disrespectful and selfish of you to post a simple question, without using the search feature to review the wealth of information provided by said members over the years. If you still feel that this action is unjust, then please PM me and we can discuss it further.
  8. Closing in fear of police thinking our visitors are on acid.
  9. We use ads in as conservative a manner as we can, which means that animated banners are ok, but auto play videos or audio is not ok. I'll bring this up with our ad guys, we're pretty specific about what we allow and occasionally others slip through. Thanks for raising it. And, please don't install adblock. Thanks for the support ...
  10. Locked to a network? Negotiable at all?
  11. Group Validating We have a poop load of automation around this stuff. Sometimes they can register but can't get any further. If they post, please let us know. Thanks!
  12. Hi Jeremy, Yes we will likely bring it back over the weekend. We've had a bout of really high-load instances which has brought the site down in recent times, so I disabled any additional query-executing functionality in an attempt to get it under control. It is now under control and it seems that the additional sidebar info was not to blame (and does not bring any additional heavy queries with it) but I just want to watch the server for another day or two before I do that. Christian
  13. Speechless.
  14. Yes, so freaking awesome! +1 !
  15. A bunch of other problems were fixed today when I changed some of the caching settings - can you let me know if this is fixed?
  16. Yep, looks like the indexer had fallen over. Got it running now, will be probably another 30 mins before its fully up to date.
  17. Even now? I changed some caching settings today.
  18. Excellent. I believe it was an overly-eager cache.
  19. Ok, let me know if anything changes. I've just updated some caching settings.
  20. What theme are you using?
  21. Hmmm, I'll have a look and see if I can see anything strange in the db.
