Hey Guys, Hopefully you guys can help me fix the electrics in my mk4 golf. Basically, the worst problem is that when lots of stuff is on (high beams, wipers, stereo) and you turn on the indicator, the radio will sometimes turn off. Its super intermittent. If I watch my volts while driving, they can get as low as 11v which seems ridiculously low. The battery has never struggled to start the car, even when its been left for a week or so, so I dont think its that and when the indicators are on, they make the headlights dim. I reckon its the alternator because of the drop in voltage when things are running. What do you guys think? What and how can I test my theories? Thanks! Christian

Hi All, Just to give you an update on the latest version of SAU; It is being built on Invision Version 3.1.X I have rebuilt the Trader Ratings module from the ground up It will use the new IP.Gallery module It has new versions of the Garage and Timeslips modules I will be getting a few skins so people can choose their favourite from a list A new Classifieds system will be added after launch (based on the usual forum layout, but with extra searchable fields like location, condition, applicable models etc) I know I said first quater 2010, but its only a few weeks away now. Support has been discontinued for our current version so I want to get the upgrade done soon. We have a large db and over 110GB of uploaded files to move and convert and lots of things to test, so the actual process might be lengthy. Anyway, thats just what I've been doing. The new version will be super awesome.

So if you guys go into My CP and under Subscriptions on the left there are View Topics/Forums links, what do you have under there?

After you click 'upload', the attachment will be available in the drop down box that says 'Manage Current Attachments'. From there you can insert the attachment into your post.

Yep, home page is disabled till I have time to fix it. Threads created during the broken period will be empty and still visible, just keep an eye out for any that are empty and created after midday today. Thanks!

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the expanding ones either, I'll contact my guy and see if we can get them off the rotation. For the record, please please please dont use Adblock (Basti, I'm looking in your direction.) While you may not want the ads supporting multi national conglomerates from appearing on these pages, until we find another source of constant funding, we *need* them (and I really mean *need*.) Adblock defeats the purpose and if you want to support the site, you'll not use it. I'm not a big 'ad' guy - I just need to make sure that at the end of the month, the giant hosting bill is paid from somewhere other than my own personal income.

My condolences to all affected by this. As Nick said, the media will likely be trawling forums looking for anything they can use and are already painting negative pictures about the accident; source I'm so sorry that this has happened. We've lost a lot of good people over the years in this club.

Do you know how much notice I take of people who throw accusations around like 'admins seem to be turning a blind eye' ? Very little. On the other hand, if a post was made saying 'Hey, I have noticed that this and that is happening and was curious about why that is' or even 'were you aware that this was happening?' then I'd be all ears (or eyes). Until you can post like that you can bugger off.

Wait till v3, we can clean everything up.

People already think that the club is the same as the forums and I find myself explaining the differences a lot. I am not anti the tags, I am not all for them either. We would need to create more member groups for each states sponsors (if you saw how unorganised our groups are, you'd know why I dont want to do this.)

Bummer. For the record, I'd like to make it known that I hate email. I hate email servers, I hate postfix and dovecot, I hate everything to do with email. Just so you're aware.
