  1. Plus it has HDMI/DVI out so you can run true 1080P. Didnt bother reading the last 10 pages but my mate is seriously pissed off about the 360 not supporting that. Plus I hear that PS3's have adequate cooling and dont blow up every 5 minutes. My mate has lost 2 of them so far (360s that is) although they have been covered by warranty. I wont buy one till they are $200 cause I have spent WAY too much on my PC so far
  2. A lot of the guys are running Motul Chrono 300V which is an ester based syn oil. Best shit u can get an most authbahns stock it. I personally use my own race oil (Kendall) which I source through my old engine builder.
  3. Kendall make a synthetic oil as well. The Synthetic makes more power but has none of the protective properties of the mineral oil. It has a very high burn point (mineral) and this is the only convincing argument to go synthetic in the first place.
  4. Thanks mate! You have helped to answer a question that I have had for a number of months Now I have no excuse to get stuck under the bonnet with a testing light and get it sussed out for once and for all.
  5. Check the weight on the compliance plate under your bonnet. I have a pair of supercheap ramps up in the bush which consistently have Lada Nivas on them getting fixed (which weigh about 1500-1600 which is more than a Skyline) Im sure u can get better but the price was right!
  6. I have been thinking the same thing Cubes, and the same issues (S2 97' GTST) Has anyone worked out yet what relay/pins the R33 fan runs off? I was just going to splice in my own relay/find a spare and have a switch to manually turn the fan on.
  7. Looking back at the invoice from that service I paid about $80 for the Amsoil. I really want to start servicing the car myself, just don't have the time.
  8. Yeah I agree that sort of setup would be pretty awesome. I have thought about it but there are just not enough quality driving games around to justify the outlay. Maybe if people started paying for their games instead of downloading torrents there would be more quality games. I dunno I guess im just having a bitch session.
  9. I know that the refinery that produces Kendall got taken out in the New Orleans flood and I am actually using 20W50 atm in my line as it is all I can get. Reason im not too worried is that the stuff is magic. As long as I warm it up first it is fine I can ask my mechanic who his supplier is to see if you can get some. I am sure by now they will be back in production and I will grab some 10W40 which is utter magic. I wasn't too fussed with the Amsoil but that because I have been spoiled. I reckon its better than Mobil 1 which gave me a bit of the old RB tap tap tap. BTW Kendall is cheap as since it is mineral oil. I pay about $10 a litre.
  10. I think Z32's are very nice but have been told at later stages of their life the VG30's like to pop a head gasket or two which is an engine out of car experience. In fact there are a lot of reasons you can find to take the engine out or so I have been told Other than that they are pure SEX and I have wanted to own one since I was about 5-6 years old and I asked dad what sort of car it was I think its a bit too late to think about buying such an old car though. Take a look at an S2 R33 GTST. I have one with a type M body kit and it aint that bad on the eyes either!
  11. Looks much cleaner... I'd personally try to find a car closer to std with low kays to use as a blank canvas rather that to take someone else's work :-p
  12. Dude, that car is pure SEX
  13. Haha I am an ex Gran Turismo nut from way back. Simulation on the PC is much better. How do you find the track IR? I dont know a whole lot about the system. Definitely need to get a nice steering wheel as the 360 controller is a bit suss, least its got analogue
  14. I was running Amsoil 10w40 full synth until I could get Kendall 10W40 Mineral. Kendall is the most amazing oil I have ever used. It has a very high temp rating so there is no risk of it thinning out in the turbo. Used it in every race bike I have ever run and it is amazing. It basically stops any engine wear to the point where you cannot use it to run in a engine. BTW Amsoil is awesome oil, just look at some of the off shore powerboats running Amsoil... Insanity
  15. Nice I have been playing with an Xbox 360 controller. I think the Saleen S7 is pretty quick but i havent played for a few weeks. Awesome game though! Ill have to get back to you with a time
  16. I have heard that J-Spec will find and import a 'good' car (not one thats listed on their site) for a small fee. I'm sure Ben or Adam at Northshore Prestige ( www.northshoreprestige.com.au ) would be happy to help too. Dont buy something off J-Spec website as I have heard that they can locate much better cars on comission (request). BTW Like you choice, those Chasers in 5spd manual are HOT
  17. Ill have to let you guys know next time im out your way... I might even bring the skyline
  18. So that is an RB26 head on an RB30 block? That would go alright. I was talking to a mate who said that RB30 blocks were not so good as they dont have oil squiters under the pistons.
  19. The sound is already starting to piss me off (As well as having to fight off teh chicks) so I'm taking out the home made gasket and am going back to the stock plumb back. It was fun while it lasted but I cannot afford to screw my turbo or have too many chicks chasing me cause i got a gf and I'm saving up to do a bit upgrade and i don't want to screw around fixing shit.
  20. Yeah its great to get out of Sydney, it really gets to you after a while. Are there many of you guys out Bathurst/Lithgow way?
  21. We got a small property at Capertee about 40 mins drive out of Bathurst. End up there about once a month...
  22. I am a bit worried that this may cause long term damage to the turbo shaft and bearings. It would be nice to get verification of this before we all blow our turbos.
  23. Do you need to block off the plumb back pipe on the stock bov as well?
  24. Aside from making you a hectic bro - I have found that it has made my car more responsive, keep in mind that it is a genuine low kays S2 33 gts and i am running stock boost with a blitz pod and 3" cat back otherwise standard.
  25. And are you guys running your stock ceramic turbos? I don't give a shit about the sound, just that it makes the car much more responsive.
