Yes, 32GTR and 33 Gtst S1 are the same coil packs.... think the splitfire # Is DIS-0001 or something.... around 400 ish these days for new ones, I wouldn't bother stuffing around with second hand ones. .. might find they have the same issues... JJR ones are $399 a set but I have not had any experience with theirs.. most opt for the splitfires. Or genuine... think it works out around the same price if you have access to a trade card

:Dave here: Thats just the way they are. id be using a heavier oil. ie heavy shock proof. thats what i use. 1st to 2nd is always harsh, you will need to revise your driving style . the oil is nice and thick so the gears slow down quicker till everything heats up. they are a pain to rev match. just practice dude.

:Dave here: its where the spring is stacked solid.. ie to much lift for the standard springs.. you are using uprated valve springs arnt you? 5k on a head id assume you had some nice oversize valves and solid lifters? what were the STOCK RB26 cams reground to?

:Dave here: umm thats freekin nowwhere!!! time to find a new machine shop. ive seen je on a sr20 with 6 thou clearance and have no dramas at all. i will be very interested to see what the bores look like once you pull off the head! some bad news dude, but its looking pretty terminal. whats the blowby like? ive run engines in on mobil 1 rite down to penrite "running in oil" and have had no issues at all with ring seating. just takes longer with the synthetic. either its binding the rings and broke them or there is like 40thou ring gaps lol..

: dave here: umm. 5k on head? pics of said 5k worth of work? dude put it in the bin and start over...... and a snapped belt after 100kms? sure you wernt getting coil bind on the valve springs? what cams were they? and lift? what springs were used? that head is rooted, just get another one and start again. or, get a stock 25 with nothing done to the head and get the same power....
