NPC are in QLD.... although you don't need to get it repaired there. Although would be the cheapest option. http://www.npcperformance.com.au/ 1500km at most.... splines were damaged due to faulty input shaft... uploading some photos now..

yup... really weird... its so light, I nearly put my foot through the firewall.... big hugs for putting it in and shtuffs lol, I had it up in the NSW Members section. Thought I'd move it as I have had a few peeps enquire about the build etc... sif weak .... RB26 in my engine bay would of equaled failure.. this car has been cursed for the last 18mths and finally has seemed to have lost said curse...!!!

Hey Shane, That head is going on Smoky's engine.... Dave is starting on it in a week or two.... head is already stripped and ready for some work.. I ended up staying with my RB25..... and just rebuilding it

Lifters weren't bled when put in by the sounds of it.... assuming there is no oil supply problem to the head??? Mine were noisy as a mofo for the first week on cold starts.... now I only have a slight noise(one stubborn lifter) which is slowly disappearing... been around a month since mine turned key on the new engine.. U can run a thin oil and take it for a nice long hardish drive and get some oil up into them.... ie high revs... low gear ... under speed limit of course for an hour or so oooooooor take it to a track day and give it a good work out

yup best advice ever is disabling the door switch. lil Sam locked his keys in teh car and over the phone I told him to pull back the drivers window and use a coat hanger to flick that switch... quite scary that someone can do it in under 30 secs without ever having attempted it before... And it leaves no witness marks...

farking asshats.... That sux0rs Mona..... and I agree with everyone else re security guards having a "blind eye" or a spotters fee thing happening... You mentioned you think they were in your car the day before??? As in broke in and disabled the siren?? I had a similar experience a week or so ago where someone had a go at my locks, and the siren wasn't working when I returned. Traced the wiring back and found it damaged, but shrugged it off to when the engine was being put back in. Also shrugged off the lock to happening prior and had never noticed it as I never use the keys to unlock the car! Good luck with the repairs and hope it gets back on the rd shortly edit: get the serial no up and a pic of the rims so we can keep an eye out for peeps trying to sell em

Mine is finally my daily again!! low kms this time around seeing I don't commute 100+ kms a day anymore!! Used to be 50,000kms a year... now I drive 3.2 kms each way to and from work My other daily, zeddles is currently being put to good use by Smoky

Ummmm well between the two of us, we just added up what our cars owe us on the rd as they sit - including driveline but excluding ALL labour.... 50 hours on mine so far, 100's on Daves.... thank god that didn't need to be billed! Lets just say it hit 6 figures ..... Not to mention all the parts that have been fitted along the way and then broken/not up to the challenge... these have a seperate list that would make you cry.... So in short, we should of just bought a new GTR and been done with it...

love my 6boost mani..... If it was me, I wouldn't be looking for the cheap option as even if it flows well, more than likely within 2 years at best (if HPC coated, thats the longest I have seen one last) you will be replacing it again once it cracks.... so add in cost to remove and replace and you might as well have spent the money originally... The original ebay ones from a few years ago were much better than what seems to be around these days too........... Ive seen the old ones last around 2 years with HPC coating...

Thanks guys, first post updated. Mesmerized, being an ex coastie... its well worth driving down the night before .... 4hrs there, 8 hours of fun then 4hrs drive home = falling asleep on the F3!!! Im sure a couple of others from up that way *looks for Tinks & DJ Brave* will be driving down the night before also

Hey all, This is an expression of interest at the moment so I can gauge rough numbers for accommodation for the night before the track day. The location is not definite yet but Mikes Manor seems to be the favourite. I am looking into other possibilities but the rough cost will be around $30-$40 for the night.... Can you please reply in this thread if you are interested in staying on the Friday prior (20th) - obviously the more people who stay, the more chance we have of negotiating a better price!! It has also been noted that some people may wish to stay the Saturday night and drive home the Sunday, if this is of interest, please also advise.
