If it ain't broke, don't fix it till you have too....
$2k easily turns into $10K plus by the time your done....
Other options.... through a RB25 in and come to the dark side
^^ seeing as no one responded, but to every other post around mine shall I assume my car isn't wanted??? good enough???
I know its the same weekend as the track day but will be driving another car that weekend anyhoo..... Someone will just need to keep an eye on it...
If you need a long nose R200... I have 3 btw.... two way Nismo shimmed GTR Diff, std and a highway master single spinner....
Stick to the gearbox thats there for simplicity... or a 32....
^^^ lol evil bish...
You have already driven a shimmed 32GTR (nismo kit) 2 way, the zed has one... Although once we changed the oil (drag day) it got clunkier and less street friendly then the old oil which was lets say.... extremely overdue!!!
Half half really, depends how lazy I am !!
Although since the new engine went in, its usually neutral........
I've been told the skipping gears going up can be bad for the box (synchros) .... not sure re downshift though.... assuming prolly the same. This could be a complete load of crap though...?!?
I run a GT35R ext gate and 0.63 rear .... 3.5" turbo back custom dump... metalcat, rest is a "Lavidia" (I think or something similar) exhaust that was already on the car from the cat back... proper mufflers etc... its only loud over 4K.... passes noise test...
Dump was made by my old tuner... only had to bend the aircon lines a little to make it all work ......
currently 306rwkw at 16psi.... full tune in a week or so, but I'm not expecting any flow issues... at 24-25psi
hang on so its a 3.0L or a 25/30??? Guessing 25/30 to be running the ecu??
Still having issues re the stock ecu running that turbo and afm with no dramas with no help from a fuel computer.... guessing its running a fuel cut defender and relying on the FPR heavily .... and don't get me started on R&R ....
14psi = kaboom
12psi was run on my stock turbo... never a drama and I think Mitch (Mrmoo) who is the current owner of that turbo is still running 14psi on it..... could be a freak though or extremely lucky!! It made over 200 rwkw at the dyno day from memory.
My mate runs 16psi on his stock 32 turbo and has done so for over a year!! It cops a flogging, but still keeps going, I just think he is damn lucky!
^^^ who... sorry but I'm not feeling that figure!
What turbo? No SAFC or similar No FPR? Upgraded coils? AFM?
On my highflow with stock ecu (mines chipped) SAFC and 14psi I made 230rwkw.... SAFC just didn't have enough tuning points to increase the boost and keep it safe.... That was a mainline dyno, with splitfires, E-01 and a Sard FPR..... FMIC etc as per the usual...
Edit: Stock injectors are what 370cc.... they would be maxxed out and thats if they are still flowing like they were when they were new.
I used a guy that a friend recommended - Dennis at Grim Performance
He rewired my car at work when my turbo melted some wires and fried my ecu (not my handwork either!) ... excellent work and a great guy..
Michael Vance - 0412 649 944 Business Name is Insomnia Security - does alarms, general automotive electrical, custom work etc
He's mobile and came to Hornsby but I think he is from the hills area possibly... can't remember????
This was a quick touch up tune for Texi after running in the engine.... proper tune with more boost in 2 weeks - stay tuned!!
R33 S1 Skyline
