  10. Interesting!! Ive been running the RDA slotted rotors front and rear with no dramas thus far... *touches wood* Pads in use are Race Brakes RB74's in the front and Comp 2's in the rear. They have seen several drag and track days thus far.... No ducting or anything, well other that the inner plastic wheel arches being removed from the front half as Im too lazy to pop them back in Although I did hot spot them at the drags last week... so I am keeping an eye on them. Texi this weekend will be a test though! In terms of 324mm & 355mm rotors, what do people recommend? I have some alcon's that Il be using but just trying to decide on some rotors....
  11. awww fanks! Yeah definitely change the plugs whilst your looking in that area! Take notice of the plugs... if a certain one or two are fouled alot more than the others then its not firing properly in that cylinder, so check those coils first... You may just need to regap your plugs to a smaller size i.e 1.1 down to 0.8 or better yet grab some copper ones already gapped to 0.8. They are only a few dollars each. I have new coilpacks, new engine, new turbo, new everything basically and I still run 0.8 plugs!! I ended up gapping mine to 0.6 with the dodgy coilpacks whilst waiting for the splitfires to arrive... sorted the problem temporarily. Buuuuuuuuut its an elimination process... start with what's easiest for you and work your way through the list... you will find it eventually!
  12. They are 5 psi till 4000rpm or round abouts (can't remember and can't be bothered looking at my workshop manual!) then 7psi after that Dual stage, although most have already been ground out and run the 7psi all the time R32 gtst's run 10psi
  13. I managed 178rwkw on a stock ecu (mines chip'd though) 10- 11psi - on a mainline dyno, not dynodynamics - would of got more but my coils crapped out when we tried turning the boost up to 12psi Only mods at the time were bleed valve, FMIC and exhaust that was on it from Japan which I later found out the cat was stuffed anyways
  14. depending on what boost you are running.... possibly coil packs, guessing they are std??? Plenty of threads on here regarding coils breaking down if it is oh just noticed std boost - 7psi.... which 0.5 bar..... 0.7 is about 9-10 psi... could be a spark issue.... my std coils broke down at 12psi....
  15. ^^ as long as its long sleeved and long legged... oh and I think cotton although not sure... all good. Im sure Corinne or one of the other execs will confirm
  16. Yup long sleeve t-shirt and long pants.... not sure on helmets but you can buy a cheap one for $100... if your going to do a couple of track/drag days its prolly worth investing in one
  17. I'm running a walbro 255 currently... thought I was sitting at around 270 rwkw (old tune, not retuned yet since engine rebuild) but mph at wsid the other week suggests closer to 300 rwkw (12.7 @ 116.7 mhp with alot of traction issues on street tyres so mph should of been higher and time alot quicker lol) I have the same turbo, 550 injectors and a sard FPR.... but I have no fuel issues what so ever at the moment, only at 15psi till tune though.... I'm replacing mine with a 044 but I'm aiming for 350rwkw + , also I have 740 injectors on standby
  18. lil secret with the CA's......... remove the coil pack cover and leave it off or at least take a drill and drill some holes into it - lots! They tend to get extremely hot.... my old Silvia originally had a CA and when I went to remove the harness from the coils the harness connectors crumbled ! Wiring was brittle etc.... I had the same sort of nightmares regarding a miss and turned out to be broken wiring in the coil pack harness..... caused hours of frustration! Cheers, Anna
  19. yup, when I used to run the Adaptronic (specialist in tuning and his mate built it) Mark is a good guy... should be fine... Options on the coast are DAT, TM Autosports & Throttle Shop - Throttle Shop has a new owner and pearly dave works their too. Oh also SBO Automotive. All have a dyno... TM's has a 4wd one also....
  20. Spotted a Silver S2 33 on parra rd this morning bout 4.45am .... RU3L8R.... waved but my tints are too dark and it was too cold to put my window down!
  21. ^^^^ I will.. im sure others will too.... I have traction issues though so cant promise it will be quickest, but it will be fun hopefully
  22. I'm running a K&N.... never any dramas. Although I don't run an AFM if thats what your worried about???? Its not excessively oily, I think the problem is when people clean them, they tend to over oil them. Dr Drift ones have had good reviews ....... and from memory they are quite cheap.... A friend runs a normal size one on his 32, never had a drama.
  23. Simply put as long as you haven't cut the hole in the structual part of the guard and the reo is in original condition it will pass. If you have cut into the structual part of the guard (under the seam weld I think) then you will be required to reinforce/strengthen before being passed. Engineers base their reports on these requirements. I have the exact ADR on my certificate but need to find it again!
  24. Not all defects involve fines, alot of the time its officer discretion.. as per the 11ty other threads on defects. Dirty numberplate.... fair call as per Duncan's post. What I find a little harsh is : Plenty of us have spent lots of money modifying our cars and have engineered them, is yours? Does your car comply to the letter ? Not having a go but that was a pretty broad statement to make. Your engine bay isn't exactly stock so you too could possibly be defected one day. Police defect what they "think is illegal", it isn't always the case that they are correct. Engineers report or not, defects are still a possibility. Can we leave the stabs out of half these threads. The guy got defected. He asked a question. No need to be rude. Just about had it with these posts, not saying that I haven't had a go in the past but I have tried not to be rude about it. Except maybe on one or two occasions in the past Cheers, Anna Edit: It is hard sometimes to distinguish someone being rude, sarcastic etc or just a relevant statement on the interwebs.. tone of voice and facial expressions don't exist
  25. Subie, I have 32 GTR seats but need 33 ones to match the rear.... possibly we can work something out
