late breaking news from the ute series..... its not the supercars but anyways Cranebrook Excluded from all Bathurst races today due to cheater rear springs Gary Baxter Excluded from : Darwin, Townsville, Sandown - cheater engine. 10K fine ($5k suspended) .... So Dave is extremely happy atm as their drivers are 1st and 2nd in the series!

Dave just got home, and yup that was the reason. Sponsorship sign writing.... series wanted, Nissan didn't.. lol

The GTR pace car has been missing for quite a while... Dave told me the reason, but can't remember!! I believe Nissan and the series disagreed on something. It was at Winton... not sure about the round after though????
-
Thanks guys... Anthony, get someone OS to buy it so you have some competition there!! Ryan... if I don't get what I am asking, I might part it out.. or return to stock somehow... lol ... If I do you have first dibs on the rims

500hp Fuel Pump With Stock Injectors & Ecu
msnismo replied to wlspn's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Cool... then I am in agreement with paulr33.... As per my original post... too many changes affecting airflow and fuel.. the ECU never had a chance. Had you done one mod, then run the car you would of noticed progressively the difference in the idle and behavior of the car... Would assume the throttle body and plenum are your biggest enemies at present without knowing every detail of the car. The turbo (assuming its not that big based on the specs) and FMIC would be minimal by themselves, but would still create a noticeable difference. But all together.... no hope in hell of it running .. unfortunately Try replacing the plenum and throttle body and see if runs better than present (making sure there are no air leaks at the same time) ... can always put this on at the tuners when you decide what fuel controller to use. -
I love my E11v2... although Matt (Hitman) was telling me all about the Platinum Pro and it has some added features over the E11v2. I have had mine for 2 odd years now, so just because a newer model is out I am not about to replace it!! Both are good, both are direct plug in..... depends on what you want to spend... ( I am assuming there is an RB20 Plug in loom for the E11v2, I could be wrong though ?) I will be getting a Platinum Pro for my next project though Also Haltech offer great after sales support... I had a faulty wideband 02 sensor and display module, popped into the Haltech office, grabbed a new one with no dramas, went home and replaced it and returned the faulty one to them the next day. Over $600 in parts given to me no dramas with only my word that I would return the faulty items. I do have a history with the Haltech boys but even still... great service

Buying Some Mods For My Gtst 33
msnismo replied to Stealthynsa's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Bosch 040 for intank and ease of install... I have had a bad experiences with walbro's so I am biased. I went a Bosch 044 (external) and stuffed around mounting it in tank. Any decent brand FPR will do... I remember I picked my Sard one up for under $100 second hand... Once you start getting more power, and trust me you won't stop at 220rwkw if the bug bites you (mine was going to stay at that!) you would be looking at external setups anyways. Even a GTR fuel pump is better than the standard Gtst one... The injectors will go a little further, but I wouldn't run then at more than 90% duty cycle. Each engine is different so a figure for rwkw isn't really easy to give... your tuner shouldn't take the car past what is safe anyways - well hopefully!! -
Thanks Albeeeeeeeeeeeert You should have a drive before it gets sold with the T04Z on, I will have you changing turbos as often as I did!!

Buying Some Mods For My Gtst 33
msnismo replied to Stealthynsa's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Have you invested in anything for the fuel side of things? Possibly a fuel pump depending on the condition of your original... usually the first thing to go once you start placing pressure on it! The stock injectors will get you to 220rwkw ... but a Fuel reg with supply some breathing room before having to upgrade the injectors. I got to 230rwkw with an FPR, aftermarket pump (mine died under pressure) and a slide high flow turbo before the injectors could do no more... well safely anyways and that was with only a SAFC2. I personally wouldn't bother with cam gears at this stage.. but that's just me.. I'd make sure the fuel delivery is up to the task if your budget is limited and its one or the other. -
500hp Fuel Pump With Stock Injectors & Ecu
msnismo replied to wlspn's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Please tell me you are not serious??? You can't change all that and expect the ECU to cope.... at minimum a SAFC is required to control the fuel situation to make it driveable... The stock ECU is designed to cope with a standard motor meaning standard air flow and fuel delivery as per Nissan's years of R&D which ultimately created the ECU and engine package. He has messed with alot of stuff within the key areas that the ECU does not have the capacity to deal with ... If the ECU was a person, it's head would be spinning and then suddenly exploding trying to cope with with the amount of mixed signals it is currently getting... Pack it onto a trailer/tow truck, get an aftermarket ECU or at least a pi99y (keeps changing it!) back fuel computer and get the thing tuned. ** IF by some strange miracle this engine had all the mods on it in the donor car and was running, there would be a massive air leak (ie intercooler pipe) somewhere. I am a bit confused as to whether you have taken a stock running motor and done the mods.... or if majority of the mods were already on the motor and the fuel pump has been changed only (which is not your issue as you found out) -

Time for a change and a new project as this build has simply reached the end, and as the car is reliable its simply not fun for me anymore as I have no excuse for any more upgrades!! Ok where to start! I have owned this car for 3.5 years now, and it was completely stock when purchased with 92,000kms on the clock... I put 50,000km on it in 2 years commuting from Gosford to Sydney for work prior to the rebuild. Serviced every 5,000kms with Penrite sin... all other fluids are hi temp Penrite Sin also and have been changed regulary - no log books, but feel free to ask Dave the amount of times he has changed fluids in this car!! Year: 1994 Km's: 170xxx (engine rebuilt at 148,000) See rebuild thread in FI section Click Here !! Location: Western Sydney Colour: Black Rego: Yup till 31/01/2010 Transmission: 5 speed manual Price: $22k ono - I have spent more than $60k in mods alone. Contact: PM or post in thread Ok here goes the list of mods: Motor/Engine Bay (built by Dave aka T04GTR) *Arias Pistons and Rings (20 thou) *Eagle Rods *Prepped block (all the usual) *ARP stud/bolt kit etc *Low km auto crank - linished, grubscrewed and collar fitted *Custom baffled sump - oil change = 7.5 to 8 litres - returns from rocket covers to sump (never a drop in the catch can) *N1 oil and water pumps *Tomei valve springs *Tomei cams *Head has been ported *Gates timing belt replaced when motor was rebuilt (also has a gates hose kit) *550cc Injectors (Maxed with Sard FPR, will need bigger for more power) * Bosch 044 mounted in tank (quite noisy) *GReddy Inlet plenum (HPC in hi-temp silver) *Q45 throttle body (90mm) *Custom 1" steampipe manifold (HPC in hi-temp black, could do with a redo though) *Garrett 42mm wastegate and custom screamer (Ducatti 996? muffler as the pipe, nice deep growl) *T04Z (Garrett) with TA45 rear split pulse (same as GT42R) - rear housing is HPC in hi-temp black *Alloy radiator (40mm I think) *FMIC *Still retains air conditioning - all functioning and working correctly *Splitfire Coilpacks *HPC coated bits and pieces - see pics *Pod enclosure (well whats left of it after the T04Z was installed ) *Braided lines and fittings everywhere *GReddy Profec E-01 Boost controller (set to 24psi... there is more in the turbo ) *Haltech Wideband O2 sensor and display module in cabin *Haltech E11v2 ECU and map sensor - 3 bar (tuned by Hitman) * YES ITS HAS AN ALARM AND 3PT IMMOBILISER (ALONG WITH SOME ADDED CUTS ALSO) I am sure there is more, but that is the major stuff. Wheels/Brakes *Nismo LMGT3 18x8.5 fronts and 18x9.5 rears.. currently wrapped in Federal 595 SS .. prolly about 50% tread left (235 fronts, 265 rears) *Alcon "k" type front calipers (massive 4 pot, from nascar not the australian "b" type kit) *2cm thick Performance Friction 01 race pads *355x32mm front slotted Alcon rotors (brand spanking new, paid for ($1200) and just waiting on delivery ) *All braided brake lines *Larger bore master cylinder (not sure on size but Dave did this the same as his GTR) *Rear brakes are slotted rotors (standard size), braided lines and Nismo pads Driveline/Suspension/Exhaust * standard rear diff (was shimmed, but is starting to open wheel so would need redoing) * standard gearbox with OS Giken gearset (4th is starting to crunch very occasionally, not enough to worry it and I was putting a dog box in) * C's short shifter modified to solid (removed the rubber bush thing and replaced with steel insert) * ORC 709D (I think, top of the range one) Twin plate clutch (like new, was checked when we replaced the thrust bearing recently) * 3.5" full exhaust system - custom dump into veilside front pipe into rear kakimoto section (one muffler). There is no power loss in this system * Tein HA coilovers (jap spec) * Cusco front and rear strut braces * 4.5 degrees camber at the front, can be realigned to standard if buyer wishes longer wear from tyres. * I believe all the sway bars etc are standard, I have not replaced anything, nor have I looked to be honest. * Hicas computer has been removed, although the Hicas is all still there. Done to make the steering heavier and therefore giving more "feel" when driving. Inside the Cabin * GTR front and rear seats (R32 front, R33 rear) * usual floor mats that they all have * Momo Steering wheel * Nismo Gear knob * Greddy mechanical oil pressure guage * Timex 2 Oil and water temp guages * E-01 boost controller screen and removeable hand controller * White 300km cluster * TV/DVD single din head unit - comes with TV module to watch normal channels etc (its a no name although its a pioneer before they are branded, remote is the same). Can have cameras etc plugged into the control unit... ( I currently have a pioneer headunit in as I got sick of the TV, but I will swap over this weekend) * JBL top of the range 6" component system * Kenwood 7x10's in the rear parcel shelf * Eclipse 12" sub in enclosure with grill * Pioneer amps running everything * Tinted windows - 5% all around except front windows which are 10% * Flare is still there, if your into that sort of thing * Everything electrical works and the dash pad and surrounds are in excellent condition Exterior * Nismo B pillar garnishes * GTR style grill * Nismo 400R front bar (although repaired many times, it could probably be replaced as it is now really thick from all the fibre glassing and has some cracks that are taped up) * Standard side skirts, rear pods and wing * All guards have been rolled and the rears slightly flared to accomodate the massive slicks used This is not a show pony car, and other than the brakes, it appears fairly stock standard from the outside There is a range of spares and and stock parts that will go with the car such as complete spare power window motors for both sides, spare headlights, spare starter motor, spare interior bits and pieces, spare standard back seat (covered in pleather) ... there is 2 boxes of stuff and the new owner is quite welcome to take it all away. The bad points: *Drivers bolster will need redoing, has just rubbed through the fabric (will get pics) *Front window rubber mold has never sat right since the window was replaced 3 years ago. Would need a new rubber if this irritates you *Front bar has cracks (again will get close up pics) *There are two slight dents (one each side) from people ass's leaning in the middle of the rear quarters with wallets in their back pocket, however THESE ARE BEING REMOVED NEXT WEEK and has already been paid for As mentioned, its not a show pony and all the money went into the motor etc. It is a fairly respectable looking car on the outside, its not exceptional but it is tidy and presentable and rust free. More pics will be up Monday when the camera returns home (including dyno sheet and interior). Please note the close up of the engine bay shows the old GT35R...these are some pics I had already on the computer. The first photo was taken about a month ago (fanks sl!m ) and has the T04Z in it. And for comparison... this is the old dyno sheet with the GT35R and restrictive 3" exhaust : I DON'T CARE IF YOU BELIEVE "I'M DREAMING" REGARDING THE ASKING PRICE.. WHEN YOU HAVE BUILT A RELIABLE 400RWKW FOR LESS THAN $22K THAT ALSO STOPS QUITE WELL, THEN YOU ARE FREE TO COMMENT. UNTIL THAT TIME KEEP YOUR COMMENTS TO YOURSELF. WOULD ALSO LIKE TO MENTION NOW - NO TIME WASTERS, NO ONE UNDER 25 DRIVES IT UNLESS A CONSIDERABLE CASH DEPOSIT IS IN PLACE AS IT IS NOT A VERY FORGIVING CAR TO DRIVE NOR DO I KNOW YOUR DRIVING SKILLS

I made 345rwkw (22psi) with a GT35R and a 0.63 rear housing (had surge holes in compressor cover).. dyno sheets etc are in my rebuild thread from long ago (just search msnismo rebuild in FI).. In the end that was about the limit due to cat restricting flow and possibly the rear housing although it still wanted to make power. The only thing about the 0.63 rear is the power delivery was very linear and you didn't really get that kick in the guts you get with a big turbo. Hence why I upgrade to a T04Z (0.96 rear) and not as laggy as you would think Same setup on stock motor (including the poncams), I had it limited to 300rwkw on less boost... 16psi (could of been 18psi?) Motor blew due to other reasons, however when pulled apart all the pistons, rings, bearings were perfect except the one that picked up the metal floating (not my fault either ) Either or they are both a good choice... GT30 easier to lowmount, GT35 can be lowmounted but alot of stuffing around so more of high mount scenario (and cop bait at times)

lol.. I absolutely love that shot of my car!! I need it made into a signature!! Alrighty I have just paid for one entry (my bank is weird so might take a couple of days to come through), il have to wait a couple of days to see if Dave can enter too... but more than likely he will. Both be in my line, so different groups please NO idea which group as its been a while... will be on semis not slicks though ... I ran a 54 in the 200ZR last time out on south but that car was so busted with no brakes!! Pop me into whatever group, Im probably slower these days .... Dave hasn't driven OP at all (I am surprised!) but I am sure he will be faster than me but maybe not at first!!
