AU gearboxes have issues... as mentioned previously. We had a 92 EB series 2 XR8 manual that we used to tow the boat.... Handled it no worries - cheap car to buy and plenty of grunt. Sold ours for $3K - it needed a respray as do most old red cars! Can pick up a good quality one for under $5K.

Seconded... After the experience I had yesterday evening with this person on the road (which has also been reported) I would quite happily not lay eyes on him or his car ever again.

Anyone that sits in a car on a 37 degree day without it running and then "happens" to head to your car once you are gone is obviously not just going to look at it... hell why wait in a bunnings carpark to look at a line?... why wait until you have left? I know if I see a skyline I appreciate I go straight up to the owner and ask to have a look if they are around.... Don't know the area or the state but even I know that this situation is suss....

WTF! It didn't look like that last night! That would of scared the crap out of me .......! Was it on Pennant Hills rd by any chance? They always seem to get really close to cars along there. Damn.... at least you caught him.... and it's still drivable..... could of been worse though.... head out and buy a lottery ticket I say!
